Named less for its wilting look and more for the dusting of spores that cover it. The spores of Death's Dust have an effect that suppresses an Ixi's fight or flight response, but also creates a soothing effect. It's rumored it also may cause the Rixixi to be incredibly susceptible to suggestion, essentially leaving them able to be mind-controlled. The spores are incredibly easy to disturb, a single unsteady touch can send a gust of them into the air - to harvest the fungus, the utmost precision must be used, and it must be sealed in an airtight container immediately. Despite its questionable effects on the mental affect of a Rixixi, it has been proven that Death's Dust can have potent medicinal properties, but its regulations due to the dangers and rumors surrounding it make it hard to study any beneficial effects.
