We've had an uptick in activity since moving to Lorekeeper and I'm incredibly excited! I'm having some IRL Issues that are slowing me down a bit on art but I'm looking forward to working on bunnos. Please keep asking bun questions. I live for this.

I'll update the journals and other sources of info to make them properly up to date. ...Doppelganger and Fogholder may need an infographic sometime. I was gonna say an FAQ but like, nah, a graphic.

General Announcements:

I don't even fully know where I was at with Rixixi news because the last time I was going to update the news, dA wouldn't let me hit send on the journal for some unknown reason. So, as a quick recap:

• The Summer Festival is going on!
• Pride 2020 had recently closed as of the last update to the news journal.
• Contraband Enforcement is no longer an Earth police analogue. Rumors are closed for rewriting.

• The Black Market has moved to Nsk Net.
• Nsk Net now has a Pantheon page that doubles as a Shrine hub. I'd been sitting on this page half-finished for ages and finally remembered it existed.
• Phoenix updates 6-8 are out! Several new items have been released, as well as a lot of new lore.
• Navigation on Nsk Net upgraded in general! This will probably replace the dA navigation entirely, but I think I might like to include a few of the main dA links in the dA nav box, so like, I'm gonna think about how to best do that before completely erasing everything.
• The Nsk Net Nav will also include a B-NOMALY tab in the future, I just kind of need to get things a less of a mess first!

New Items:

• Mechanix Chip - Ghost: Released via Phoenix Update 6! The Ghost chip can be obtained via Scientific Analysis.
• Sweet and Spicy Chicken: Submitted by Fey via the Kitchen's Create feature!
• Mymber Party Favor: Submitted by Fey via the Kitchen's Create feature!
• Philosophic Mercury Knife | Philosopher's Broken Shard: Released via Phoenix Update 7! A ritual knife that steals a gene from the sacrifice.

Barters:

Barters (Art, Item, and Faction Tier 1) have cycled! They'll cycle out again in 2 weeks (2 AM Eastern on August 30th)!

Of note is Myrk's Seasonal Sale! This will usually show up for two weeks at the beginning of each season, but as it didn't show up at the beginning of summer (as Eclipse had made it so that Barters temporarily didn't exist over on dA at the time), it's going to be around for the rest of the summer and the first barter cycle of Fall!

B-NOMALY Announcements:

MYOS:

B-NOMALY MYOs and Customs are now hosted on Lorekeeper! The design approval phase is still done via Seraph's Styling Station on deviantArt, but it's easier to hold the MYOs over here. If you have an account here and any MYOs/customs, you should have your MYOs/customs attached to your account now (if not, please put in a claim or inventory transfer prompt saying so!) - future members signing up who have an existing B-NOM inventory will have their MYOs taken care of in inventory transfer.

MYO purchases are now handled through a prompt that's linked in the B-NOMALY Labs' Shop! Prices have been slightly reworked - most things Mutant and B-Class are cheaper now. A-NOMALY prices pretty much stayed the same. Token purchases are the main way to get MYOs, so I wanted to make them a bit easier to get!

Prompts:

A small update - Archived B-NOMALY Prompts are now referred to as the Prompt Library, so that at a quick glance it doesn't look like they're inactive.

Lorekeeper Misc.:

It should be visually clearer when you've selected something in add-ons! Hopefully this will help with accidentally leaving things blank due to lag and other internet-based misfortune.

Today's updates include a preview of a major upcoming feature as well as an update to several kitchen recipes' stats!

Temporary Conditions

This is a major upcoming feature, and as it will change gameplay significantly, is currently being previewed for about a month before officially entering gameplay!

TEMPORARY CONDITIONS - NSK NET

This had been suggested a long time ago, and will become more relevant with an upcoming Phoenix Shrine release - Temporary Conditions will roll along with certain activities, typically at an uncommon to rare rate. Until the Ixi is healed from these conditions, they are impeded or stopped from doing activities. They can be healed by crafting items or by art/lit pieces depicting healing.
Most of the conditions are based off of existing Radiation Sickness debuffs - they're essentially temporary mini rad sicknesses, in functionality.

Any of the items listed for cures that don't exist yet will be released with Temporary Conditions themselves, as well as several other things in the full Medic Release! Here's the current plans:

• Aloe - will drop in Earth and Nskanetis (probably the Chasm)
• Velvet Cactus - will drop in Sxriix (probably the Chasm)
• Mymber Blood Transfusion - crafted from Science Kit + Colorpitch
• Bandage - Leather + (Aloe/Velvet Cactus)
• Splint - Bandage + Wood
• ANAREIZH'S SHRINE - New Nsk Guardian Shrine. Offers 1 free heal per month (no sacrifice needed), accepts sacrifices 1/week for healing. Does not count against monthly guardian count. May also offer other things for purchase in a shop, like Thoriane.
• CONTRABAND ENFORCEMENT - MEDIC - Similar to the Scientist Specialty, earn points by healing yourself and others, crafting medicine, etc. Obtain contraband legally, other perks.

The temp conditions are already in the roller (thanks Sian!), so over the course of this month, we can monitor them to see if the uncommon ones are coming up too frequently. They might be tweaked a bit before launch if they're too punishing - this is intended to be more complex gameplay, not something irritating.

Some behind the scenes: Bandage was originally going to be apparel + aloe/cactus, but that wouldn't really be user-friendly, regardless of the logic behind it.

Kitchen Stats

Several Kitchen recipes' stats were far too low for the ingredients they required, and have been updated. Here's a full list:

• Brownie: Now +40 Spd/+10 Def (Previously +30 Spd)
• Chocolate Chip Cookie: Now +30 Spd/20 Def (Previously +30 Spd)
• Chocolate Croissant: Now +30 Spc/+20 Spd/+10 Def (Previously +20 Spc/+10 Def/+10 Spd)
• Guacamole: Now +20 Def/+20 Spc/+20 Spd (Previously +20 Spc/+20 Spd)
• Lasagne: Now +40 Def/+20 Spc/+10 Atk (Previously +30 Def/+10 Spc)
• Mint Chip Cookie: Now +30 Spd /+20 Spc (Previously +20 Spd/+10 Spc)
• Meat Cake: Now +30 Atk /+20 Def /+10 Spc (Previously +10Atk/+10Spc/+10Def)
• Sweet Apple-Berry Coffee Cake: Now +30 Def/+30 Spd (Previously +20 Def/+20 Spd)
• Tortilla Chips with Guacamole: Now +40 Def/+30 Spd/+20 Spc (Previously +30 Spd/+20 Def/+20 Spc)

The general idea here was that a recipe with 5+ unique ingredients shouldn't be giving below 40 total stats. I don't know how to logically refund past stats granted, so everyone will be seeing these updated items in their inventory very soon (but you're going to have to give me just a bit on that, because I'm going to be giving them out to both Lorekeeper and 2.0 inventories).

Misc. Updates

Barters changed over yesterday! Fang is back, and Corona is being the middleman for some alchemy again. As for the Faction Tier 1 barters, all of them have now shown up - there are 6 of them in total for each faction and this is the 2nd instance of cycling barters out. I'll be cycling the Tier 1 prompts out somewhat at random from now on. <:

I was trying to make a Nsk Net hub for genetics since the Traits list is in progress, but I managed to break the code I use for spoilers (and I was using it to shorten lists of traits). Hopefully I'll have that available soon??

Temporary Conditions Updates:

Some updates to the Temporary Conditions feature, based on player feedback:

• There will be an equippable item that opts out of the feature entirely (granting immunity to all temporary conditions, but also may restrict the Rixixi from entering the Medic specialty due to how much Medic will be tied into Temp Conditions). I don't have an exact recipe, but it'll be similar in item amount and rarity as crafting an Apparel.
• Certain Rixixi levels will grant resistance and eventually immunity to all temporary conditions - 30% at Active, 70% at Irradiated, and full immunity at Omnipotent. The levelup page is being rewritten, and the new page will list these bonuses as well as a couple others!
• Mymber Heart Valves will grant temp condition resistance to all Rixixi in a piece if they're listed as a resistance, to keep their Temp Condition resistance use in line with the original use of the item. This'll be written into the skill by the time temp conditions fully launches.
• There will likely be a Medic-purchaseable skill tree that grants temp condition resistance to all Rixixi in a piece, and applies to all temp conditions - essentially a buffed Mymber Heart Valve skill. I don't have the exact resistance percentage finalized yet (30% or 50% is likely), but this was a suggestion!

Most suggestions were based around allowing players to earn ways to resist conditions, or just opt out. That's totally valid. This is meant to be more to do, not an annoyance to have to deal with. c: Thank you for the suggestions as to how to make this more interesting!

I'm still eyeing the rates for the conditions, will make a news post if I change them.

• Superhot Peppers - Bhut Jolokia | Magmatic Spitfire | Incendiary Witchcraft | Wall Crawler. As of today, there's one of these for each world!
• Velvet Cactus | Aloe - Cures as well as crafting ingredients useful for temp conditions! Released a bit early because I had the item art ready and now maybe folks can get the items a bit early.
• Bloodletting Dagger - with Phoenix Update 9! Also, Thoriane's Shrine is now on Nsk Net.
• Mulled Cider | Hard Cider | Apple-Stuffed Acorn Squash - Submitted via the Kitchen's Create Feature by pawstepsinthesnow !
• Snake Curry | Sauerkraut - Submitted via the Kitchen's Create Feature by Fey !
• Rolled Omelette with Seaweed | Spicy Smoked Turkey - Submitted via the Kitchen's Create Feature by Ace574 !

Due to a recent Phoenix update, Ghosts can now breed with Non-Ghosts! While there are no uploaded Ghost Rixixi yet, this opens the way further for things like Ghost Starters, and for more freedom for future player-owned Ghosts!

Recent Off-dA Pages

• Genetics has been ported to Nsk Net, as all Rixixi traits are now on Chasmho.me! B-NOMALY traits are next as far as traits go!
• Leveling Up and How To Earn Experience Points have been ported together into one Nsk Net page! The actual Leveling Up via comment is still done via the dA journal, but all info has been moved and some has been rephrased - there's also some new bonuses listed under certain power levels!
• The Adoption Center Dropoff is a prompt now due to how smoothly the gift basket rolls as a loot table! The rest of the Adoption Center journal is still back on dA.
• Adoption Credit Rewards are a shop here on Lorekeeper, which is something I kept forgetting to do, whoops, at least it's here now |D
• Combat is currently not available. I have a bunch of notes on how I want to touch it up and I just need to sit down and make some time to do it, but I wanted to make sure it was offline first. It shouldn't be down for long, sorry in advance if there's a small wait!

Temporary Conditions Updates

As a reminder, Temporary Conditions will not be in effect until the 27th!

• All current Temporary Conditions have been updated to Rare. There is a planned Temporary Condition that will be Uncommon in the future, as it is specialized to an upcoming activity and will involve more outright becoming immune than focusing on cures.
• Aloe and Velvet Cactus have been added to Hunting (Commonly found when hunting Plant-Creature), to make them slightly more common.
• The item Mymber Heart Valve and the Mechanix Chips Medix and Triage have had their skill text updated due to Temp Condition-related changes.
• All Ixi imports are having small changes added to them (a Conditions: section underneath the stats). As of typing this up, I'm up to import 201, and mostly had to stop earlier because of lag.

This might be the last update before Fall comes up, but if there's anything incredibly important to note right before Fall, there'll be a last minute news post! Have fun!

RIXIXI UPDATE

Fall Changelog

• Festival Events are now hosted on Lorekeeper! You can find the Fall 2020 events easily at this link! I have seasonal events sorted to the top of the the prompts because events, so you'll probably see them pretty easily if you just check out the prompts at all!
• Most RNG aspects have been removed from event loot - I got tired of not giving people stuff. Fond Memories are now guaranteed instead of being a 50% chance, and the RNG for FM: Chasm has been removed from Chipper's events - you can just choose from any Fond Memories in a Chipper event now, including Chasm. The Special Starters in Chipper events do still run on RNG - Check out Trick or Treat! | Fall 2020 to see how we're running this on Lorekeeper!
• There's still a dA hub with a little bit of story, because I kind of like having a small hub that points over here, but it was just getting hard to handle everything and all the events.
• Rat Tail (+Rat) has been implemented as a common fur length mutation! Since there haven't been any other gene releases, the Meteor Showers 2020 Chrono set has been extended to December 21, and Rat Tail has been retroactively added to it!

Rixixi Updates

Temporary Conditions

Starting now, Temporary Conditions will roll with loot-dropping activities. Check that link to read up on them if you haven't already - or to see if there are any changes if you already have! Some changes from the first announcement include:

• All current Temporary Conditions have had their frequency decreased to rare - there is an upcoming one linked to an unreleased activity that will be uncommon.
• An opt-out item has been implemented, and can be crafted! It can also be found in First Aid Kits. It does disable the Medic specialty for the Rixixi wearing it, but only while equipped.
• Leveling Up now grants resistance, and eventually immunity, to all conditions! This starts at the Active level!
• Mymber's Heart Valve's resistance applies to all Ixi in a piece. Medix and Triage Mechanix apply their Mechanix resistances to all Ixi in a piece, and their companions.

There's very likely more but everything has been slowly releasing over the last month and I'm a little scatterbrained right now!

Some Important Features!

• There's a Free Gift to claim! It's a First Aid Kit, which contains every Temporary Condition cure and an Anareizh's Enchanted Scarf. It won't expire, but please only claim it once per user!
• Anareizh's Shrine is now active! The Nskanetian Guardian of Medicine and Poison offers healing here, and this does not count against the 1/Monthly Guardian counter - you can get healed by Anareizh and still interact with other Guardians. They also have a shop, but I had a moment and was only able to stock it with a First Aid Kit. More coming soon!!
• You can now be a Medic at the Contraband Enforcement Station! More ways to legally obtain contraband, more ways to get cures, and what's more, you're essentially getting points and more cures just by healing. More stuff here soon too!!

Medic Part 1.5 Incoming

There were a few things that I couldn't get out in time for this update - this month has just kind of been chaotic. One of them is half-prepped, and the plan is to release them all when the companion is finished. Here's a list of what's coming soon that was originally planned for this release.

• Skill for the Medic specialty - resists all Temp conditions (possibly 30% resistance?), and when the Ixi with the skill is depicted in a piece with others, everyone in that piece gets the resistance.
• Skill for Anareizh's shrine - just a little something for combat, resists Damage over Time for a few turns.
• Companion for Anareizh's shrine - Anareizh's Patron, a snake companion. Replaces the need for an item heal 1/week.

Barters

• Barters have cycled and Fang is back as usual!
• As this is the first Barter cycle of Fall, Myrk's Seasonal Sale will be cycling away for the season after October 10th!
• Luminol is here with Morgue Dance Party, trading you some cures!

There's a seasonal prompt going on for all of October! You can do the Fridge Werebun prompt to get a Bunshifter: Fridge Parasite item along with the usual B-NOMALY prompt items! There's also a Trick or Treat! prompt that's available year round but especially relevant now - it's a regular B-NOM prompt, so it doesn't have any extra items attached, but if you're in a seasonal mood it might be fun, y'know? <: Have fun, be a monster if you like, enjoy yourself!

Since I forgot to announce Fridge Werebun at the start of October (I'm sorry! I had it on an automatic timer with Lorekeeper but then I had amnesia.), I've extended it a week into November - it was originally just through October. I hope this helps, sorry about my nonsense!

A note that might be useful - if you're in both B-NOMALY and Rixixi, you can stack the B-NOMALY Trick or Treat prompt with the Rixixi Trick or Treat Fall Festival prompt in the same image!

Canon Worlds has been moved to Nsk Net! Most of it is copied from the original journal, but there's a few previews of planned features there, including sub-location pages (currently only a Nether Steps page), a few extra listed shrines that haven't been released yet, and information on an unreleased but planned location.

Chasm-Connected Bestiary

The Chasm-Connected Bestiary has been updated to include a couple of canon creatures that only exist in items (the Vyldes Shovelnose + Sanguine Snare) and also the Kyaine, which I forgot to add apparently??

RIXIXI NEWS

The Euphoria Rules have been moved to Nsk Net! A couple of things were reworded for clarity, but also, the restriction on genos that you already have has been entirely removed from Something You Do Not Have wishes because it was unrealistic to track it. I have no idea what genos everyone has.
There's also a new short section on rerolls in the geno tab!

The Primal Antler Mod has been requested and planned for a while, I just kept forgetting until now. Sorry about that! It's available now!

All imports should have the Conditions: section added to them now - sorry for the delay on this as well, I was having issues with doing this until Eclipse added pagination back |D If you have a Rixixi without Conditions: under their stats, that is an error at this point please feel free to report it.

Token Calculation rules update

Part of Token Calculation has been updated because the previous rule was outdated and kind of confusing!

Old Rule:

Commissioned art: +10 token bonus for both the commissioner and the artist!! Art trades, design trades, etc all count for this.
Collabs: Both artists get the full token payout!

New Rule:

Commissioned art and Collabs: Both artists/Both commissioner and artist get the full token payout, +10 token bonus for both artists/Commissioner and Artist!
Art trades, design trades, etc all count as commissioned art  - if it was in exchange for something and not as a gift, it counts!

Both rules were combined to maximize payouts for both commissions and collabs. <: I would offer retroactive tokens for this, but to my knowledge I'm the only person who's lost tokens due to the old ruling. I don't need retroactive tokens, but if anyone else lost out on tokens, let me know and I'll comp you what you missed.

Just a couple small things but

• Ananas - while it is Pineapple in english, Rixixi usually use the most common word for a thing they're being introduced to, or the word in the thing's language of origin. A lot of languages use Ananas, so a lot of Rixixi call it Ananas. Some Rixixi call it Pineapple or Piña (or rarely, something else entirely) dialectually, however.
• Jalapeño Pineapple Pizza - this is my preferred pizza order :V

Barters

Barters/Prompts have cycled! Fang is back, the Faction Tier 1 Prompts have cycled, and there's another Fall-themed prompt, this time with Uuner! Feel free to check them out! c:

Also, some of you might have noticed that Lunar's barter was missing in the summer - She needed some wording tweaks, as I didn't want to come across as making light of IRL situations. Plus, from a gameplay standpoint, I wanted to get used to actually using the staff reply function before using a reply-heavy barter like Lunar's. Good news is, she's coming back near the end of the season, in the Cat and Mjilikae barter. It'll function basically the same as her old barter, I'm just calling it something different.

Combat

Combat has been reimplemented! It's been moved to a Nsk Net page, and is submitted here on Chasmhome as a claim - check out the page for more information on that! There've been several tweaks:

• Equipment used in combat is now limited by what level your Rixixi is at! This was initially mentioned by the new Leveling Up page, but Combat itself was under construction at that time. Equipment in general is not limited - this refers to what you can take into an individual fight.
• Battle Modes are now fully customizeable - and I mean fully, I've included ways to add arena hazards and everything. You can choose a Standard Mode if you don't care about all that.
• There's some additional combat drops! Mushroom Soup, Chicken Noodle Soup, and Stone Soup to Go have been added to Uncommon combat drops. Nabeyaki Udon, Mushroom Soup (Large), Chicken Noodle Soup (Large), Stone Soup, Irish Stew, and BBQ Platter have been added to Rare combat drops.
• THE BEAST of AlternateFatality fame has finally been added to the list of NPCs who can be fought! This is a feature that's been talked about since like 2018, it's about time. To fight The Beast, you have to first encounter them in Chasmjumping - your Rixixi can then take revenge as long as you have your AlternateFatality comment as proof!
• General combat wording tweaks, hopefully helps with some clarity

Kellas Cats

A rule change has gone into effect for Kellas Cats: "This ability can be activated once a week per Kellas Cat, and up to 3 times a week per user." (Previously no mentioned limit per user)

Kellas cats originally had no real limit on how many cats could be sent out per week - it was only limited by the amount of Cats you had attached to Rixixi. This was honestly an error that I never really fixed because you all, the players, have been keeping the amount of cats sent out really reasonable - I've seen a maximum of about 3 a week most of the time. Thank you. I'm setting this rule mostly so that we don't have to worry about it later, and I'm basing it off the maximum y'all were going off of, because it was working. 3x a week per user works well. If we have to tweak it later, hey, that's fine too, but this works and it was totally my error that there wasn't a limit before.

(This only really came to mind in the first place even because I was editing the Euphoria rules and Kellas Cats run on Chasmjumping logic V: )

B-NOMALY News

A seasonal prompt is available for the month of December! You can show your B-NOMALY or a NPC doing something winter/winter holiday related in the Snowbunny Solstice prompt, and in return for your first entry, you'll receive a Mutant MYO! (3 Anarchic traits included)

Just in time for more MYOs*, almost all B-NOMALY traits are now located on Chasmhome! Fogholder and Doppelganger are not located on Chasmhome - their guides will be upgraded with images when I have the time to do this.

*this was not intentionally timed haha

Some B-NOMALY NPCs are now on Chasmhome to test and see if the character masterlist function will work well enough to host user B-NOMALIES - so far, it's working well, I just have some more things to test (and the remaining traits to prepare) before that's ready!

Barters have cycled - it's roughly the last barter cycle before the Solstice, so Lunar's barter is in! You can get anything in the shop for the price of one Fallen Leaf, once every other day! Companions

There are two new companions out:

• Anareizh's Patron - A snake! Grants one healing from Temporary Conditions per week. Can be bought at Anareizh's Shrine.
• Barghest - a fierce canine that can assist in hunting and legendary hunting! Appears on Earth and in some Hunting drops.

Shrines In General

All Nskanetian Shrines are handled through a Lorekeeper prompt now! There have been a few updates to shrines due to this.

• Lucida and the Messenger's shrine are on Nsk Net now!
• Anareizh has obtained 2 new skills that can be purchased at their shrine:
  • Field Medic - 30% resistance to temp. conditions, grants resistance to all others in pieces with this Ixi
  • Antivenom - temporary resistance to Damage over Time in combat
• Thoriane has obtained a new skill that can be purchased at her shrine:
  • Smuggling - allows +1 equippable to be brought into combat; multiturn skills work for +1 turn

Phoenix Update 13

I think it's 13 at least?

• Sacrificial Runes - effectively allow you to play Two Truths and a Lie with Phoenix

Rixixi News: The Glowstick Pack now contains a Domestic base - sorry for the delay on that!
B-NOMALY News: There will be S-OLSTICE B-NOMALIES this year - less than last year, December is a bit of a mess!

The rest of this news post will be plans for 2021 and on  - a lot of this is for Rixixi, but some of these are for B-NOMALY as well. Some of these were plans for 2020, but due to Eclipse and IRL issues, they had to be put on hold while things were figured out.

I really don't have solid ETAs at this time, just ideas.

Event Changes - Festivals, Karma Seasons

This is mostly Rixixi except for the one part at the end

I have a bunch of ideas for events and major releases, and I want to get some headway on them. Due to Rixixi's size vs. how much is planned, though, I'm swapping a few things around in how events work:

Seasonal Festivals in 2021 will not have new apparel/accessories. It might not have new items in general, I might just make the older items easier to obtain from the prompts for a year, but if I can think of something fun to include (a companion or something), I might do that as well. This is entirely to make sure focus can be put on other things, and to have less to catch up on when subspecies are made! This is a fairly minor change compared to some other things on this list, but it does exist.

Karma Seasons are now medium-sized events - smaller than Here There Be Dragons, but larger than, say, the April Fool's events. Massive events like Here There Be Dragons (which was scaled to nearly match the main storyline) are unwieldly, and due to Rixixi being a small ARPG, are unlikely to get the kind of attention they'd require - this is why HTBD dragged on for like a year.

I do have a medium-sized Karma Season in the works - this might seem sudden considering I'm only just announcing this change now, but I'd like to test how events might work on Nsk Net + Chasmhome anyways, and I kind of started writing it and I've already got the first chapter (and some extra) done + the rest outlined. I need to get the art for Chapter One done, and I'm not sure how long that'll take. It might be out sometime during the winter?

I'll have to rework the Karma journal into a new page with updated info, too.

Large-sized events/releases are no longer Karma Seasons. Something the size of HTBD or higher is too unwieldly to be a Karma Season, but there will be story-based releases in the future. I'm not actually sure how they'll work - possibly similar to the Phoenix Shrine where a release and story is put out every so often, I just know that some plans I have for the future would work better as huge story-based releases spaced out over a large period of time, but they're too big to be regular events at the current size we're at. More on that in the future, I guess?

Events are more likely to affect multiple species due to the Lorekeeper hosting the Chasm-Connected Universe. Hopefully I can pull this off in time for the S-OLSTICE.

General Plans, Features, Etc

RIXIXI:

• Semi-Custom Sale??? - ETA: January or February 2021. - Actually please feel free to tell me which one y'all would prefer. I was originally planning to do this in the summer or fall and just... didn't?? so I might repeat this in the summer this year too. This is primarily to cover Chasmhome site costs.
• Chasmhome Story Modes - New Karma Season likely to be tested before moving other story modes.
• Chasmhome Adventuring, Hunting, Mining, Kellas Cats, possibly Chasmjumping - No ETA, but likely early 2021. To-do list includes moving pages off dA, testing mostly
• Chrono Shards with Automatic Dates - No ETA because Anar is the one typing this news and doesn't have access to that - We're working on it! Had some code issues.
  
• Mymber Houses? - This might not happen in 2021 but I figured out some ways to do it. To-do list includes Art, setting up a whole mymber house building system, new items, redeems, etc
• Factions (Joinable/Tier 2) - No ETA at this time, this was planned for 2020 but heavily sidelined due to Eclipse. To-do list includes Apparel, finishing shop stock, figuring out how to work the prompts on chasmhome.
• Biomechanix - Domestic - The optional base was supposed to be made ages ago but I can't figure out what I want it to look like I'm sorry. ETA: whenever I can think of an appearance that isn't a furby. Please feel free to suggest things that aren't furbies. I have no problem with furbies, it just can't be the optional import lmao
• Dragon Body Type - ETA: I'm trying to get this out for the winter solstice 2020 actually!! If I can't, it'll be out very early 2021!
  
• I have 3 subspecies that I want to release over the next year or two please help me I am a fool

B-NOMALY:

• MOVING SERAPH'S STYLING STATION OFF dA - ETA SOON!!! I can't even parse the journal myself and I can barely edit it I'm so sorry guys
• B-NOM masterlist on Chasmhome - This could happen really early 2021 - To-do list: Add Fogholder + Doppelganger to traits, I finished testing this so it's all good
• Rework the B-NOM info that's on Nsk Net because some of y'all still reference it and it's SO OLD - I don't have an ETA on this but I should do it sometime. It's so old.

OTHER CHASM-CONNECTED/MULTISPECIES:

• Add Aexent and Chasm Horsemen to masterlist? - Unconfirmed - I haven't even tested this, but I'm considering it. It should work fine since B-NOMS do.
• Aex info on Nsk Net - I'm working on this kind of slowly! ETA: soon, the image guides are really hard to read.
• CHASM and LEYLINE traits guide - I don't have an ETA on this, I just want a guide to visual traits creatures from the chasm and leyline have

I know there's a lot that I'm forgetting and I didn't list, like, individual item plans here, forgive me V: If I very obviously forgot to say something, that's probably why.

Scatterings are currently on standby, however, because I'm not sure how to handle player-owned groups with dA doing the thing it's doing. Feel free to send me feedback and opinions? I'm just kinda unsure.

Deep in the basement of the B-NOMALY labs, past crumbling hallways and failing machinery, a roiling crack splits the tiled floor. Dubbed the Vat, the chaotic pit would be difficult to find for most strangers stumbling across the old laboratory, as nothing leading to it is particularly of interest. Most of the inhabitants of the labs know it well, however, and it's an even split on whether a B-NOMALY might seek it out or avoid it - it's rumored to grant power and mutations, and Fogholders drift towards it without thinking about it. As the Vat is a direct link to the Chasm, the rumors aren't exactly unfounded.

Lately, more and more of the B-NOMALIES that seek out the Vat aren't coming back, and the few that do are reporting a strange phenomenon - every so often, the Vat is replaced by a glowing blue mist. Eventually, it dissipates as unexpectedly as it came, and anyone caught up in it is lost.

We're hosting a multispecies event, the prologue is hosted by B-NOMALY and the next few chapters will be on Rixixi. This is sort of a test (I want to see how hosting this on Nsk Net and Chasmhome works, as well as doing this with both B-NOMALY and Rixixi), but I think it'll go well?

There'll be more news updates as the story unfolds! There'll also be more B-NOMALIES to adopt, so far Trailblazer is available!

The Prologue has updated, and another B-NOMALY has appeared! Two, actually - Vic has returned, and has a currently unreleased mutation as a result of his travels. It's probably obvious what this mutation is, and its guide will be coming out when one more B-NOMALY comes out with it - there's another planned adoptable, it'll be out soon <;

(The next update for The Lost should be out later today, but might be delayed a bit due to IRL stuff. Should be really soon though!)

Multispecies News

One of the Winter Festival prompts is a multispecies prompt! Check out Leyline-Connected: Chipper and the Harbinger if you'd like to do some B-NOMALY + Rixixi interaction! As it involves depicting two different species, its rewards are doubled from the usual B-NOM prompt/Winter Festival currency, and it grants 20 seasonal currency (Rixixi) and 2 Silver Tokens (B-NOMALY)!

Winter Changelog

• The Harbinger of the Funeral Pyre has arrived - another Ghost starter. While they are a standard, they have the full Primal Blood set and can throw Primals at combo mut chances.
• There's still a little story and hub on dA!
• And here's a direct link to the Events prompts!
• The Harbinger has a new gene - Blaze (nBlz/BlzBlz), an uncommon gene! This will be appearing in Chrono Shards from December 21, 2020 until April 21, 2021.
• As there is no new gene to add to Supercharged Chrono Shards, I'm randomizing a past date to pull from for both regular and supercharged chrono shards as well, and it is October 24, 2019. December 21 2020 - April 21 2021 Charged Chrono shards will also have Gallus Face, Drake Scales, Fissure, Mojave, and Dullahan. The Supercharged Chrono shards will have Shield Wings and Lava Lamp. I'll be adding this to the Chrono page soon!
• As previously mentioned, there aren't new seasonal items this year to make time for more updates. As a result, all past winter items are available in the Event prompts - there's a selection of three in Around the World and Time to Chill, and Winter Radiation is available as a bonus prompt in Dragon Sighting.

Myrk's seasonal deal is in, and so is Fang! The faction T1 prompts have been cycled!

Lemon Pig companions are now available in the Witchin' Kitchen! They're essentially just a reskinned Mini Rooter that drops Citrus Fruit instead of Root Vegetables on a failed roll, but it seemed like a fun and silly quick idea to put a little companion out on the New Year since they have New Year's connotation <3 Here's hoping it's a good one!

One more small thing - since there'll be a Karma Season soon, the Karma page has been moved to Nsk Net and rephrased a bit.

EXPLORABLE LEYLINE!

When passing between two forked trees, a strangely silent doorway, or through another Space Between, some people have reported the shadows leaning into them, a blue mist swirling at the corner of their eyes. Some have gone missing, and only a few have turned up later. Fewer yet come back with their face.

The Leyline is now explorable due to Phoenix Update 14! (Phoenix Lore here!)

As this is the Nskanetian land of the dead, it comes with some risks - that is to say, a unique Temporary Condition, Cursed. Unlike other Temporary Conditions, Cursed rolls at an uncommon rate - however, it will only appear in the Leyline, and will only restrict the Rixixi from traveling to the Leyline until cured. It can be cured with a Funerary Mask item, which has been added to the First Aid kit! Any user who has previously redeemed the Temporary Conditions Starter Pack has received a Funerary Mask.

You might notice two of the immunities in the Temporary Conditions list for Cursed currently don't exist! Those will be implemented in the next Phoenix release.

Several items have been added with the release of the Leyline - more will be coming in the future, but for launch, the new items are:

• Shuck's Bushel - Berries native to the Leyline
• Leywine - Fermented Shuck's Bushel and questionable chemical substances, tastes like embalming fluid. Some Leyline locals find it nostalgic. Permanent +50 to a random stat but causes an instant debuff due to being a hard liquor.
• Hagfish - Hagfish! I'll be adding hagfish slime in the future.
• Eel - Suggested by Ace574 ! I love eels.
• Leystone - It's the "pure" form of Corecracker Lodestone, and can be broken down into it.
• Leyline Barghest - A very common threat in the Leyline.
• Funerary Mask - Doesn't drop in the Leyline, but still a newly added item. Created via crafting.

The Leyline is a major part of the I'm Here For You event, and you'll be seeing more of it in the Rixixi side of the event soon! There may be some more delay than expected getting it out - hopefully not much, will give an update if needed! I am a walking medical drama right now.

General Site News

You've probably noticed that the Lorekeeper has updated! I don't fully know what all the updates are right now! We've got comments installed as an add-on, so as we get used to that, we should be able to work that into prompts better. If you've got B-NOMALIES uploaded to the site, you can set separate gift art and gift writing permissions, and set a profile link - I've set these to the dA masterlist link for a default link, but if you have a toyhouse for your B-NOM or something, feel free to use that!

A couple quick things -

The lineages are a WIP, but we've got lineages in and being worked on, so that's neat!

The URLs did update for a couple of things, so some existing links broke. Most of what I've noticed is that prompts updated from chasmho.me/worlds/prompts to chasmho.me/prompts/prompts, so every existing prompt link I had around broke V: I've updated most of them but I probably missed some! Let me know if you bump into some.

Also, on a different topic and technically a different site - IHFY has a little hub on Nsk Net now, and the Rixixi chapters (Chapter 1 at least) should be launching in early February!

We're almost definitely going to have a semicustom sale at the start of February (probably the 5th, running into early March) unless a bunch of you let me know that's a bad idea and to hold out for a bit! So like, if you need me to wait (or just to hold another one later too), please make yourself known! There have been some small updates around the site to accommodate an upcoming Karma Season. If you had Karma left over from HTBD, it's been sent to your account! The Karma Shop will be coming soon!

Along with the B-NOMALY stuff at the top of the news here, more B-NOMALIES are being uploaded, and Doppelganger's guide has been made! It's kind of a WIP in the sense that I'm not totally happy with its wording and might touch it up, but I did manage to grab a bunch of examples with existing B-NOMALIES and 1 additional doodle. The uploads previously stopped at where Doppelganger was implemented, so now more B-NOMs can be uploaded soon! <:

There's a Valentines' Day barter up for the duration of February! Draw/write about some Ixi together to get a starter slot of your choice and an extra breeding for the month!

Also, as a reminder, Semi-customs will be coming up on February 5th! Here's the semicustom rules, and here's the last semicustom sale we held, if you need to reference them! It'll last for around a month, and we might have a sale in the summer too (probably if there's low turnout). Funds are first and foremost going to funding the site, and if we have extra, it'll go towards the group in some way!

Karma is officially active in Rixixi as I'm Here For You Chapter 1 launches! You awake in a strange blue place. Why are you here? You don't recall. Perhaps there's some overarching phenomenon going on, but you're certainly too busy down here surrounded by mist and fog to know that. Lucky for you, you have a mymber to guide you, so at least you've got that going for you.

Read up on Karma here for how to increase your Karma during an event! Your Rixixi's Karma will be stored in this sheet, your User Karma will be stored on Lorekeeper!

New NPC - Aihuu - They don't mention their name in IHFY, but since they're a NPC, they needed a name. It's pronounced like a deep breath. Including Aihuu on a trip to the Leyline will protect your Ixi from the Cursed temporary condition! They're here for you.

"New" NPCs: Jim and Jinn - they've been waiting on a ref for like 2 years now. I'll figure out how best to make them interactable in Lorekeeper like they were in HTBD! I've got plans for them.

Here There Be Dragons will be moved to Lorekeeper soon as well, and it will grant Karma during the Karma Season.

There's also a semi sale going on right now too. Check it out! I'm going to make a dA journal linking to it so that folks can comment on the journal if there's any trouble with commenting/lorekeeper stuff while the sale is active.

Chasmhome News

Aexent and Chasm Horsemen are now being added to the Chasmho.me masterlist! As they have their own masterlists (Aexent) (Chasm Horsemen), it seemed like a good idea. All Aexent are on the site, and Chasm Horsemen are being uploaded. If a B-NOMALY has a Chasm Horseman form, both characters will be uploaded separately and link to each other.

The Aex info on nsk net is currently under construction, but Viles and Dawn have their full info hosted there! More Aex subspecies will have their info hosted on nsk net soon.

Both Aex and Chasm Horsemen are semi-open species and don't have traits so much as typical characteristics and lore - if you're interested in making one, check out their info and run your design by me (Anar) and I'll make sure they make sense with canon + pop them on the masterlist if all is good!

Phoenix Update 15 is out! We've got more lore for you, and more items!

• Ancient Coin - Single use item that blocks Cursed (cheap to craft due to being a single use temporary condition block)
• Forged Death Certificate - Contraband but a more permanent Cursed blocker. It's an item that marks your living Rixixi as a ghost, much like the Leyline Mymber or Leyline Barghest (which are also Cursed blockers)

Barters will be cycling as usual in an hour or so! This news is a bit early because I didn't want to forget anything. While the new barters won't be specifically Karma-themed, all barters will grant 1 Positive Karma per Rixixi per day as long as a Rixixi is linked in the comment!

Some reminders for the stuff currently going on!

Valentines' barter!  (This will run through March 1st 2021 and end at the first second of March 2nd - Chasmho.me runs on UTC and this barter auto-ends so I gave it an extra day to account for timezones)
The extra breeding slot granted by this will now carry over to the next month(s) until used so you don't have to rush your breedings!

Semi Sale | dA journal - if this has low turnout, it'll show up again most likely in the summer, please feel free to suggest ideal dates based on your own availability if you're not available now but are interested!

Phoenix Update 16

We've had another Phoenix Update! You can now see previews of every planned update in the Shrine, and of course, there's some new Lore!

New Item Unlocks:

• Leyline Rooter Companion - This rooter's ability is more useful with Streetwise! It's a gravedigger pig.
• Leyline Kaurphyt Companion - Essentially a plague doctor variant of Anareizh's Patron.

Here There Be Dragons & other Karma

Due to the current Karma Season, HTBD has been ported to Nsk Net! Its chapters are available as prompts on Chasmhome. You can currently obtain Karma from it while the Karma season is active.

Also, on request, more links have been added to the Karma page! Hope that helps!

IHFY chapter 2 is about 70% written right now, and I can confirm that there is a version of the chapter with some slight modifications if you don't have the mymber with you - it's not a huge difference, but I did want to write something in to recognize the choice.

As Aezaia turned away, she could swear she saw the hybrid start diluting the strange Chasm-slime that covered their paws. She didn't feel like asking, she just chuckled to herself. A mad scientist artist would be interesting to work with.

Spring Changelog

• This spring's new starter is Aechor! They've got the long-awaited Dragon Body Type mutation! It's finally here. Aechor is also half-B-NOMALY, which won't have any effect on gameplay but is intended as a hint towards upcoming features - except right before Aechor was released, the feature was incidentally suggested in the discord. B-NOMS and Rixixi will be breedable soon, confirmed
• There's a hub to mirror this stuff on dA!
• As mentioned above, Aechor has Dragon Body Type (X-DrBdy), an uncommon RXX-Nomaly Mutation! This will be appearing in Chrono Shards from March 20, 2021 until June 30, 2021. I'll be posting things re: Dragon Body Type for a bit after this news is posted - its bases will be up in just a bit, its design guide should already be up, and it may be added to the height chart later if all goes well.
• Dragon Body Type will be getting design packs for face mutations (all subspecies) and tail mutations (standard and domestic) - until then, it will not cost a Mutation Station to edit these mutations (except for tail muts on primal), even if they're fully customized. I'm hoping to get at least some of these out in April because there may be something new then?
• As previously mentioned, there aren't new seasonal items this year to make time for more updates. As a result, all past spring items are available in the Event prompts - there's a selection of three in Bunnies. and A Garden Get-Together, and Winter Radiation is available as a bonus prompt in Wandering Willow.
• Leyline-Connected: Chipper And The Harbinger has been moved to the B-NOMALY prompts library, and its Rixixi currency has been swapped to spring. It's still active, and will remain active.

Also, Barters

Myrk's seasonal deal and Cat and Mjilikae will be cycling in with the usual barter swap tonight, as I forgot to swap Cat and Mjilikae in before the season changed.

B-NOMALY News

Seraph's Styling Station

Seraph's Styling Station has been fully updated! All of its information is on Nsk Net, and design approvals are done through Chasmhome! Initially, the update was meant to make Seraph's much less confusing, but now I'm fairly certain that everything can be handled through the Lorekeeper design approvals setup in one way or another. If I've missed something, please feel free to let me know!

If you had a Bred B-NOMALY, it should be uploaded as an "Egg" MYO with all of its traits and information! Please use this to submit it/trade it/whatever you want to do with it! This makes it easier for us to handle the design approval steps of bred B-NOMS.

Breeding Plans?

As mentioned above in the Rixixi section, it's very likely that Rixixi and B-NOMALIES will be able to be freely bred together soon! (read: when I have the time to write up info) I may have to fix up the info on breeding in general now that eggs are going to the Lorekeeper - there's some other positive tweaks I was meaning to do (breeding with NPCs). Currently, breeding is still done as usual on the dA journal, and when the updates are done, the dA journal may still be used for comments - expect updates, though!

Multispecies News

All B-NOMALIES, Aexent, and Chasm Horsemen have been uploaded to the masterlist! We'll still need some testing and possibly some tweaks to things before we can upload Rixixi.

Aexent now properly have their subtype listed! Very few people have Aexent but this really wasn't a hard thing to do so why not

Happy April 1st! This year, we're celebrating with a sudden MYMBER FESTIVAL! Just a bunch of Mymbers hanging out and having fun. You can check out that linked hub for the current events going on!

You may notice that kthere are no hidden eggs this year. I had some trouble figuring out where to put them and so the scavenger hunt is delayed for ?maybe a week? - sorry for the inconvenience but I'm hoping to still set it up once I find a good spot!

Some new features released with the Mymber Festival:

Genes:

• Mumbling (+Mymb): A combination mutation! Mymber hybrid Ixi, complete with retractable arms! This can combine in breedings with Tendrils and Sleipnir, and Supercharged Fogshard Pieces will have it from April 1st 2021 - August 1st 2021!
• Snared (+Snare): A Non-Passable mutation optionally added with Blade Snare! Suggested by Steampvnks !
• Leyline (+Ley): B-NOMALIES have it as a trait, so it was inevitable! Leyline is nonpassable and is added with Enchanted Veil.

Items:

• Blade Snare: A weapon mod that increases critical chance the more it bites in a row. It can swallow the opponent... or you if it's angry. Adds Snared (+Snare) optionally. Based on a suggestion from Saphira455 !
• Enchanted Veil: Adds Leyline (+Ley). A curseblocker that doesn't count the Rixixi as a ghost.

Mymber Fest Hub!

The Scavenger Hunt is live! You can find Chasm Eggs hidden on certain pages on Nsk Net - all of the pages with eggs can be found directly linked on the Nsk Net Nav (specifically the Rixixi Hub!) You'll get 5 Chasm Eggs and a small secret bonus with each one you find, good luck!

The daily and weekly minigame is still live, and the Mymber Fest Hub also details some bonus tasks you can do for eggs! Check it out above!

Barters

Fang is back, but additionally, there's a special variant of the Lunar Barter out right now! IRL Lunar's birthday is on the 19th, and to celebrate, Lunar is accepting eggs (just regular eggs), and she'll give you Chasm Egg Shop items in exchange!

RXX Prompt Library

This is a bit of a WIP feature (I threw it together before an appointment recently), but I'm putting old event prompts up in a prompt library similar to the B-NOMALY prompt library! They'll mostly grant seasonal currency (I might grant some items like the B-NOMALY special prompts, but mostly seasonal currency for these)

I'm prioritizing favorites right now, and so the only one up is Cat Country: Meme Share. Please feel free to suggest your favorite past event prompts - in the discord suggestions or in the comments here maybe?

• Nsk Net Nav now links to the correct Karma Shop and has a Current Events section at the top!
• Chronos and Genetics now up to date
• Crafting and Kitchen now states the proper limit of 5 total crafted items per prompt (to avoid lorekeeper scrambling items)

Another Phoenix Update went up recently! The news for it is going up a bit late due to Chaos, etc.

New stuff:

• Lore pages 81-85!
• Nskanetis' Shrine - unlike other shrines, this is an item crafted from two new drops in the Leyline (Statue Head + Statue Body) as well as the Ancient Coin! It has several varying uses.
• Also, side art and writing will now start showing up here! Right now, there's just some art of Gwendolyn the taranan. More will appear pretty much at random.

Exploring and Kellas Cats have been moved from dA to the Lorekeeper/Nsk Net! All Explorations and Kellas Cats still on dA will be rolled shortly!

Exploring's info page is on Nsk Net now! Prompts are submitted over here. Nothing about the roller has changed, it's just the info and prompt submission location. The info page for exploring might look a bit short - this is because the items are listed on the Canon Worlds page!

Kellas Cats are also rolled on Chasmhome now - the prompt is over here! All instances of its companion info should link to that now.

Hunting and Mining will be moved to the Lorekeeper in the future - they don't have their own info pages yet, and that's the only thing holding it up!

The main Pride Hub is on Nsk Net, and the prompts are over here this year!

As usual, there's an art entry prompt where you can show your Rixixi with their loved ones! It doesn't have to be romantic love - taking your close friends, family, emotional support of any species, etc are all valid! Showing your Rixixi expressing who they are is also valid! Come on down and hang out however you like, just be awesome to each other.

You can opt in to being part of a group image at the end of the event - examples are featured in the hub, but also, here was last year's!

There's also an item barter where you can get one Pride Blend a day by trading in a water! Roy needs at least some of the materials covered, but is happy to supply! If you need more Pride Blends, they drop rarely in any loot-dropping activity in June!

IHFY Chapter 2 is finally up! I'm so sorry for the delay - life got ridiculously chaotic, but I've been chipping away at this and here it is!

An important heads up - IHFY Chapter 2 contains intense body horror in some of the possible paths. To avoid it, choose the "Escape" path. The body horror is located in the "Consider Options" and "Confront" paths. The body horror in it is a bit more intense than the usual Rixixi body horror and so I've put this warning on the Hub and on the prompt itself as well.

If it's not quite clear, the very first choice in the storyline is whether or not you're going with the Mymberless path or not - this isn't a massive change, but there are some narration differences - a bit more than just whether there's a Mymber!

Have fun! I'm going to be aiming to release last month's Phoenix release next, which wound up being delayed due to Chaos, IHFY prep, and because it's the beta of the Funerary subspecies - so that should be fun to get out there!

The Pride Event has been updated to allow all Chasm-Connected species, including open species without a masterlist (as long as you have a reference)! Other events may use this format in the future if it would make sense for them to be multispecies, so if you don't have a non-Rixixi character now but were considering getting one, this may still be relevant information! Also, I forgot to mention this when it came out, but: Mymbers have an updated species guide! The old one was essentially a concept from when they were first released...

I had an unfortunate incident with my computer that set back the development on the Funerary subspecies - essentially, I had to remake the file. Here's how it's going so far:

I have to finish the bones (Funerary comes with Partial Translucence) and make sure the layers work, but it's going well.

Sorry for recent delays, I was very sick and am 90% better! I'm just kind of also on a backup laptop. Honestly, send help and curseblockers.

I also apologize for my absence lately, due to being sick recently among other things I am operating at less than 100%. I'm bored of not doing things, but I'll still be slow for some time.

Aurri sighed in relief as they plopped into the Cach, summer finishing its circuit behind them. Another year of changing the seasons went well, and now it was time to relax. As they swam lazy circles in the water, an odd glimmer caught their eye. A hint of blue fizzling in and out in a cave mouth - not like a normal blue from light shining down, but something iridescent and bold. As Aurri prowled closer, the shine faded, a silhouette taking its place.

That was even more interesting.

Excited now, Aurri darted up to the stranger, finding a creature about their height. The being looked mostly like a Rixixi, their masked face tilting side to side at Aurri's sudden appearance, mantle - they had a mantle too! - giving a curious flick. Suddenly, their hands raised, shaping dozens of words with their entire arms swiftly.

"Oh, uh, friend, sorry, I don't know Nskanetian Sign," Aurri crossed their arms in an X - 'no' was the only word they actually remembered.

The friend covered the mouth of their mask with both hands as if covering a blush, then nodded enthusiastically. They put a hand to their chest and bowed. "Aya."

"Oh, nice to meet you! I'm Aurri," The skyburn Ixi grinned.

Aurri made to wave, but Aya took their paw suddenly and began swimming. Aurri laughed, rushing along with their new aquatic friend, Aya pointing out anything colorful or enticing and Aurri just along for the ride...

Summer Changelog

• Today's new starter is Anayahar, a Funerary! Zie is an energetic friend seeking more friends.
• There's a hub on dA as usual!
• Funeraries have been released with Phoenix Update 18 (here's the lore)! This is the Leyline-based subspecies, and is currently in beta (doesn't have mutations, etc) - I'll put up a beta checklist ?probably tomorrow? to track progress on that.
• A Funerary Rixixi naturally has Ray (+Ray), Leyline (+Ley) (Nonpassable), Partial Translucence (+ParTluc), and Frill (+Frill), and will not show these in their genotype, but can pass them to other subspecies (except Leyline). Funeraries can naturally pass Ghost (+Ghost) even if they do not have the mutation (both to other Funeraries and different subspecies). A Funerary can appear in a breeding via combo mutation breeding if both Leyline (+Ley) and Ghost (+Ghost) appear in the same breeding.
  Funeraries have blue blood (any shade of blue) by default, and their mask can be customized or designed from scratch if desired. The mask can be considered an optional free 1x Accessory locked to the "face".
• As previously mentioned, there aren't new seasonal items this year to make time for more updates. As a result, all past spring items are available in the Event prompts - there's a selection of three in Beach Buns and Summer Haunting Having A Blast, and Summer Radiation is available as a bonus prompt in Wave Rider.

I'll be rolling over the shop and everything else using seasonals in a bit! I just kind of need to take a bit to chill and also to roll a couple Lunar Barters first.

Some new items have been added!

• Rhodochrosite: An uncommon drop in the Chasm and Mining, with plans to be used for an upcoming gemcrafting gene!
• Illusion Glass: A rare drop in the Chasm, Hunting (chasm creatures), and Mining, used in craftable Illusionate-Glass Cores, which now exist:
• Illusionate-Glass Core - Moddable: Craftable core! Removes the limit on Illusionate Cores for a Rixixi and optionally adds a same-subspecies alt form.
• Illusionate-Glass Core - Mechanix: Craftable core! Allows a Rixixi to shift into a Mechanix or a Mechanix to shift into a Rixixi. As Mechanix have no genos, there is no requirement to stick to the gene guides for this one. The forms can also look completely different if desired.

Most subspecies Illusionate Cores will still be obtained in events, and Domestic cores will likely be added to the Karma Shop along with Funeraries at the end of IHFY!

Barters have swapped! There's a new art barter with Aya - have fun with pyrotechnics and lightshows and general chaos! Myrk's seasonal has taken the place of Lunar's seasonal.

There's a new prompt that's been added to the Prompt Library! Open Mic Night is themed around your B-NOM's own creative pursuits - sharing them, collaborating with other B-NOMs, etc!

This prompt originated from a verbal slipup I made when trying to explain Chasmhome to my family - I accidentally said that the characters could collab instead of the folks that owned them... it was a great mental image.

Barters:

Barters will no longer swap every other week! Instead, they will change out at the start of the month, and stay out for a full month. The group is fairly small and the Every Other Week schedule seemed excessive and pressuring, and sometimes hard to keep up with on the admin end, haha. Y'all get more time to do them before they switch!

Changes other than the timing:

• The current barters will be staying out until the end of the month!
• Fang's Fogshard Barter will appear once per season instead of every other barter cycle. They'll appear in August this summer, but after that, they'll be appearing on the second month per season (October for fall, January for winter, April for spring, July for other summers)
• Cat and Mjilikae and Myrk's Seasonal Sale will be appearing together at the end of each season/overlapping with the beginning of the next season (December, March, June, September) - both item barters will be appearing at the same time so that there's more room for other item barters to appear for the rest of the season.

Phoenix Updates 19 & 20:

• The Shrine has changed. Something is wrong with the statue.
• All changes to the shrine logged here.
• All Lore unlocked - Side Content will still appear over time
• 95 Cultists: All Deaths at the Phoenix Shrine grant 50% of the Sacrifice's Stats to the Rixixi Performing the Sacrifice. Bloodletting Dagger and Thoriane's Guardian Combo grant double stats. - This is to keep a reward active even though there are no further unlocks.
• 100 Cultists(FINAL UNLOCK): MAJOR NSKANETIS-THEMED EVENT UNLOCKED
  
  • This will be coming after IHFY, and will feature Phoenix, along with other guardians! It's a followup to the Phoenix Lore in the current setting, and will unlock several things (shrines, subspecies, etc) over time! This is a Large Event instead of a Karma Event - Karma will not be active/will not be active through the entire event due to its length, parts of the story will be released at certain intervals of time along with new content, etc. I'm honestly still planning how it'll work but I have a lot of ideas for it!

The Pride event recently closed! I'll very likely be able to do art while being mostly absent, so hopefully the group picture won't be too delayed by me having things going on! If it is, I'll give those of you in the group image a heads up. <:

I highly recommend using the group image for EXP/token redeems when it's done, it grants extra points! I might send out the B-NOM tokens personally, it's a bit unconventional but that way it's harder to forget them.

We're trying to figure out a good place to put bug reports that doesn't require dA or discord - if you put your bug reports in Claims, they should be noticed fairly quickly, and we'll be able to sort them out for you! If you notice an error on the lorekeeper or nsk net, please feel free to drop it off in Claims!

I'll try to find some way to phrase this in the Nsk Net Nav, so if you don't see claims linked for bug reports at first, I'm just trying to figure out how to word things, haha.

Upcoming Semi Sale

It's almost the end of July, so while I might alter the date a bit if there's a very large change in the form results, I'm going to confirm that the upcoming Semi sale is going to be Around Early September - most likely starting September 1st and lasting a month! Reroll Skills

This was actually meant to be in the previous news, but I wasn't totally sure how to reword the skills yet...

Okay, so, first off, I'm genuinely sorry in advance if the skill update is confusing! Please feel free to ask any questions in the comments here, in the discord, or however else you'd like!

All items/skills that reroll items have had their skills modified. This affects Floral Tea, Lootbox Hero, Spring's Messengerbird, and Witch's Brew Tea. While the effect of the skill is the same (for the most part - Witch's Brew now affects Mining properly), the skills are now turned in at Claims rather than turned in via reply.

Lootbox Hero's update, for example:

The owner of this Rixixi can choose to reroll any item that can be opened to obtain randomized items once To use, head to claims. Add all items from the original roll into Add-Ons, link to the original roll (if applicable), and state that you're using Lootbox Hero. The reroll will be previewed in a comment, you may then choose whichever roll you would like to keep.

We're very sorry for the extra steps needed to use reroll skills! They're intended to improve item tracking, and make it so you can reroll as many rolls as you want. We've had issues in the past where we couldn't easily keep track of where rerolled items went, and so putting them in claims to reroll them makes it easy to keep track of them. It doesn't have to be the exact item you rolled, as long as the quantity is right. We've also had trouble in the past with replies being overwhelming with regards to the old method of reroll skills, but we couldn't really explain to players what was overwhelming about it. Please, feel free to put in as many as you want into Claims - we might need to take breaks, but it's less likely that things will get buried here.

Have fun rerolling, and we're sorry that it's been a bit of a mess!

Multispecies NEws

All Aex Types Released

The Aexent info has been completed! All subspecies are now open to the public, and some additional lore on Aexent-adjacent shapeshifters are there as well. To make it easier to submit an Aex OC, a new prompt has been created (as utilizing the design approval function on Lorekeeper requires a MYO slot or an existing character).  Aex and Chasm Horsemen can both be submitted through this prompt, as they're both semi-open species without traits and fairly open-ended designs. You can still ask anything when designing them/before designing them! I love seeing character WIPs and talking about design ideas.

The old Aexent Deviantart Masterlist will no longer be updated due to being more difficult to maintain (extra dA logins and all). It'll be left up because I don't have any reason to shut it down, and its about now links to the Aex Info, Chasmhome Aex List, and the new prompt.

Please do not be intimidated by my like, 16 Aex if you're planning on sending in a design, I've had these for years lol.

Upcoming Things:

I have a few Rixixi things half-finished that I'm working on getting to a more finished state before sending out, but are finished enough to preview a bit.

Funerary Mutations Preview:

Funerary mutation packs will likely be uploaded in a WIP state rather than a full pack of mutations at once and will be updated when more mutations are added to them. I want to add a few more before this one is released.

Upcoming NPC: Nemo

Nemo was fired from AexLabs due to poor lab safety and general chaos. He developed the Notion species of Aexent while on his way out of AexLabs and currently works on them independently. He'll likely show up in an upcoming event.

New NPC

Nemo has arrived as an NPC! Including Nemo in an activity allows you to request any item that could roll in that activity. This item will roll, but replaces your main roll. (Pack Cats, Tail Bags, etc still roll.)

Nemo was fired from the AexLabs due to poor lab safety. He'll show up in a future event!

The Rixixi rules have been ported to the Lorekeeper and reworded to work as Chasmhome rules as a whole. They may be edited in the future to work better with the other species, but they have been edited a bit already. They now contain clarifications on timing-related rules as well (chasmjumping timing, kellas cat timing, monthlies, etc) because I just... didn't have a good place to put those all in one location otherwise V:

Rixixi News

Factions are now up in beta!

This is actually fairly major news! This is a feature I've been meaning to launch since the ARPG started!

To join a faction, your Rixixi has to have completed Main Quest Chapter 3! You can then head to the Join Faction prompt and pick your favorite! While you may want to read up on your choices a bit , as your Rixixi can only be in one faction at a time, you can change your faction - it costs 10 of your current faction's currency (this takes two tier 1 prompts or one tier 2 prompt to obtain). Additionally, factions are one per Rixixi, not one per user!

Factions currently grant:

• Boons for your Rixixi! This may be an extra loot drop, companion slot, radiation resistance, etc! The main boon differs between your chosen faction!
• The ability to obtain currency in Tier 1 faction barters, and the ability to partake in Tier 2 faction barters!
• A shop for your faction, with slots, a new mechanix chip, and some useful items!

As mentioned above, there are new Mechanix chips available! They're specific to each Faction, and have similar boons to each faction!

Regarding the shops - While faction currency is nontransferrable, the only items in them that are nontransferrable are the loot drops. This is because the loot drops can contain faction currency. Everything else is tradeable, and slots will be marked as such - please feel free to buy slots and items for your friends if you want!

Loot drops contain a variety of thematic items intended to be useful, and they do have the chance to roll contraband. They are eligible for Lootbox Hero. As well as appearing in the shops, they show up in tier 2 faction barters.

Coming in the future:

• Exclusive apparel for each faction! This may take the longest, as it has to be fitted to each subspecies!
• More Boons! I almost had 2 boons for each planned, but some of them couldn't actually exist until post-IHFY...
• More Shop Stock! The shops are a bit of a WIP right now! I just wanna add useful things to them. A couple more exclusive things may show up as well?

Pixie's neck frill stood tall. There was something... off about the woods tonight. Something suspicious. Turning, however, their look of dread turned quickly to a smirk.

"You headed to the party too, Lat?"

The black-and-red Funerary crept in the branches above them, head twisting unnaturally in what Pixie assumed was supposed to be a show of curiosity. Skittering between the trees, Latrodectus descended like a spider until they were almost eye-to-eye with the diminuitive 'Rixixi'. Holding eirself upside down between the boughs, Lat seemed to be pondering.

"I might be. I don't have much of a costume, however," Latrodectus mused. "Speaking of, do you think I should politely decline the Witches' request to come along? They always come as, ah... witches."

Pixie snorted. "You're literally a spider, and the Witches come with snacks. Don't sweat it. Now c'mon, we've got a rift to catch."

Fall Changelog

• Today's new starter is Latrodectus, a Funerary! Ey're a black widow spider.
• There's a hub on dA as usual!
• As previously mentioned, there aren't new seasonal items this year to make time for more updates. As a result, all past fall items are available in the Event prompts - there's a selection of three in Picking Pumpkins and Costume Party, and Fall Radiation is available as a bonus prompt in Endless Night.
• I realized that I forgot to put the Funerary summer items out at any point during summer, so I'm going to be working on doing Summer and Fall's seasonal items for Funeraries over a week of time! I can probably do this, as I already got one summer and one fall item prepped fairly quickly. If I can't get them done in 7 days' time, I'll post what I have done all at once and then just continue on for however long it takes.

I'll be rolling over the shop and everything else using seasonals either a bit later tonight or when I wake up! <:

The Fridge Werebun prompt is active throughout October! Draw/write about your B-NOMALY as a Fridge Werewolf to get the Bunshifter: Fridge Parasite item! Due to this news being late, the prompt has been extended so that it goes a week into November!

While it's not time-limited, it's seasonally relevant - there's also a Trick or Treat prompt! Rixixi also has a separate (fall-only) Trick or Treat prompt that allows B-NOMALIES to enter, and it has been ruled legal to enter both of these prompts with the same piece if you're interested!

Lastly, there's some halloween adoptables going up! These will contain Rixixi traits that are being ported to B-NOMALY in anticipation of crossbreeding B-NOMS and Ixi! So far, Bloodstained Bun is up!

Multispecies News

Accented

Accented has been moved to Nsk Net and updated! It is also now open to B-NOMALIES as well as Rixixi! Bunshifter forms are now extremely open!

The rules on Aexented forms may be Rixixi-centric, as Accented was originally a Rixixi-only prompt. If you see anything specifying that Rixixi can do it, B-NOMALIES should still be able to do it, except for the rules on B-NOMALIES and Rixixi shifting into each other - those are still a bit specific. B-NOMALIES cannot shift into other B-NOMALIES with Accented, and Rixixi cannot shift into other Rixixi with Accented.

If you have a Rixixi with a B-NOMALY form, they should be properly linked soon!

B-NOM Sales post

Additionally, there's now a Chasmhome post for all B-NOMALIES currently available for sale! This post also acts as an orphanage - you can trade in B-NOMALIES that need a new home, and obtain tokens in return! Undesigned eggs are fine to trade in here!

I'm Here For You

IHFY's intermission just launched! There was a separate post about it, over here! The intermission doesn't have its own prompt, it's just additional plot, but chapter 3 is fully written and hopefully will be coming out soon! Check it out!

Additionally -  the achievement hasn't launched yet, as I haven't had time to make the art, but completing an IHFY prompt, including Leyline-Connected, with both a B-NOMALY and a Rixixi in the piece, will grant a specific achievement for that Rixixi and B-NOMALY! This achievement, when released, will be granted retroactively!

Chasm Fae

Chasm fae are now available as an alternate form for both Rixixi and B-NOMALY! Chasm fae have lore courtesy of iiixkitsunexiii and pawstepsinthesnow, and this lore and the design guide can be found here! While the guide is currently mirrored on Nsk Net, the main link may be moved somewhere else when Kitsu and Sian have it up somewhere of their choosing!

Chasm Fae have specific design requirements and require a Faery Circle item (this can be crafted with Rixixi items or purchased in the B-NOM Labs shop) - read up on them in the guide to see what you'll need!

Several Rixixi starters are fae, and their true forms will be linked to them shortly!

Comments on imports

Comments are on imports now, and breeding/achievements comments have been added to all B-NOMALIES! The following will be happening as a result of this:

• Breeding will be getting an overhaul to make it work better with Lorekeeper
• Breeding comments from dA will still be honored!
• Rixixi will be uploaded to the site soon!
• Rixixi/B-NOMALY breeding will be possible soon!

Multispecies NEws

Major Breeding Update!

Breeding for all breedable species (Rixixi, B-NOMALY, and Mechanix) has been moved off dA! An info page can be found here, and a general prompt can be found here! If any info is unclear, please let me know - most of the information is copied straight from the dA pages and so I may have missed something that needed touching up. Everything should be the same for the most part other than consolidating the info into one page and moving the prompt, though.

Rixixi and B-NOMALY can now crossbreed as of this update! Information on that can be found at this page! To crossbreed, you'll need a breedable Ixi and a B-NOM (or slots), and a breeding ticket for the B-NOM! Not all genes are available, some will not pass if it doesn't exist on the other species, while some genes just pass as something else that's similar - this is detailed on the linked page!

With this update,  B-NOMALY NPCs can officially be used in any breeding freely, but the resulting eggs will not be considered canon for them!

As a note related to breeding, as Rixixi will be transferred to the site soon (and their breeding comments with them), dA breeding comments will still be considered valid and will be mirrored on-site!

A known bug:

The default character order in each user's own character page seems to have been randomized somehow. We're not sure how this happened, but we're looking into it. In the meantime, if this isn't something you're okay with or if you just want to sort your characters, you can manually sort your characters at this page!

Other:

Apologies for the mood drop, but we would like to remind Chasmhome players to be kind to each other - this goes for your fellow players as well as interactions between players and admins. Please show respect for others, including things like differences in cultural backgrounds and gender presentation/identity. If there is a concern, you can reach out to us. We would like this to be a welcoming place for all sorts of folks.

Just a quick update, so I'm using trhe same news post!

• The Leyline-Connected Achievement is now up! Completing the Leyline-Connected prompt or completing any IHFY event prompt with both a B-NOMALY and a Rixixi will grant the achievement to both the Rixixi and the B-NOMALY! Starters/NPCs can be used for this (and may be useful if you don't have both a Rixixi and a B-NOMALY), but will not be granted the achievement.
• After some more testing, Seraph's Styling Station has been updated. Alt forms like Bunshifter forms no longer have to be put as a link, they do upload as a new image rather than replacing the main image.

IHFY has concluded! Check out Chapter 3 to find out why you're in the leyline and what you have to do next! There are 12 different prewritten endings depending on how your negative/positive choices stacked up along the way, and each one grants an achievement - I kind of doubt all of them will show up! I'll be making an endings guide soon.

The Karma Season will stay open until Spring! The actual prompts will not close after that, they'll just lose their Karma rewards! If you're looking to get things from the Karma Shop, do Karma-earning activities before then!

NEW in the Karma Shop:

• Funerary starter slots can now be purchased (along with the usual Primal starter slots)
• Funerary Illusionate-Glass cores!
• Domestic Illusionate-Glass cores, while not new to the game, are new to the Karma Shop!
• The Deathtrap Legendary Companion! Its description contains some bonus lore for the beast!
• Mymber houses!

NEW in general:

• Mymber Houses! These are effectively in beta and will in the future be obtainable outside of events. When obtained, these are added to your profile as a character, and you can turn it in to roll specific things determined by its add-ons - for instance, if you have a Garden attached, you can plant things in it, and they'll multiply in a week! If you have a Kitchen, once a week, you can rummage through the cupboards and find something relevant to your biome! If you have a Stable, you can add pets to your Mymber House and have their abilities work via the house instead of via your Rixixi (Kellas Cats and Geode Mimics can work this way for example!)
• Raids! This isn't quite out yet, but you may see it mentioned in the Deathtrap's ability! This will be a new seasonal activity coming in Spring 2022! Something big is coming, and seasoned hunters and battlers are needed to send it back! Any combat or hunting pieces made while a Raid is active can be turned in to contribute to the raid - rewards at the end are determined by how successful the group-wide effort was, AKA how many points were turned in between all members! Any prerelease Raid info is subject to be tweaked!

Future Plans:

I really need a break before the next major event, haha. I had a lot of bad luck during this one and a lot was taken out of me, so it was hard to juggle things like IHFY as well as things like needed art. I'm going to be taking a break from major events for a while - not Rixixi as a whole, of course! Just making sure I have more time to get art done and so on before going on another major adventure.

The next major event is Nskanetis's, involving Phoenix, but the Asteroid Event may happen before then, as it wouldn't be a major event - it all depends on what I can get done, as both need subspecies-related art aspects prepped! So I'm gonna try to work on finishing Funerary and then work on future subspecies while nothing is going on.

The next major event is probably going to be a lot more text-heavy and less art-heavy than IHFY, as that was a major thing that slowed me down, but I did really like doing the CYOA style, so that might stick around! I can't say for certain just yet.

On something that'll happen sooner, I'm planning on releasing some Behind the Scenes for IHFY, so I'll get on that soon too.

The Valentines' barter is active! You can get a slot and an extra full breeding through it! Have fun!

Two more activities have been moved to Nsk Net! Hunting and Mining are now on Nsk Net/Chasmhome! The plan is to move as many things off of dA as possible at this time - Chasmjumping and Rock Collector need to be moved for sure.

This Spring, you'll be taking down the Deathtrap!

The Dwarf Primal hybrid subspecies has arrived! Officially, it's in beta, but it might take a while to get mutations and apparel on it due to Funerary taking priority.
The Dwarf Primal is a hybrid between Primal and Domestic subspecies! Instead of passing 50% itself and 50% the other subspecies in breeding, it has a 30% chance to pass Dwarf Primal, 10% chance to pass Primal, and 10% chance to pass Domestic (and the usual 50% chance to pass the other subspecies) in breeding. It has Domestic's ability to throw any color mutation, but doesn't have free tabby. This'll all be up in the breeding with subspecies page soon!

Additionally, I've decided to make it so that all mutations can be edited and customized freely without mutation stations, especially due to how beta for funerary and other subspecies is taking a while. It's been a bit stressful to leave you without bases, so I wanted to give you all something good out of this!

The rules will be the same as last year, so you can reference the Pride landing page we used last year! (it'll be reused and updated a little)

There's a HUB over here for all your hub needs!

While the prizes are Rixixi-related, any Chasmhome species can enter our main event as long as you have a ref! Our main event comes every year, but in case you're unfamiliar, your art can be part of collaborative group images like these! You just have to enter the prompt and opt into the group image!

Come on in and celebrate love! Anyone is welcome, you don't have to be LGBTQ+ yourself, you just have to be cool to each other. We'd love to see what your characters identify as and what they're doing at Pride!

We've had a pretty major update! We're on an updated version of Lorekeeper, for one thing, but more importantly, information like genotypes and items were added to a Data section of character pages, so now, Rixixi can actually be uploaded and have their pages make sense! If anything seems broken, please notify pawstepsinthesnow (Sian on the Chasmhome discord), but if it's just the images not loading on the front page, try a hard refresh, we had a brief Issue with those earlier.

Here's a summary of updates and generally what to expect:

• You will need to enter a birthday to access a lot of site pages due to this update. It should probably be your own birthday.
• Rixixi will be uploaded to the site - this will take a while and I don't have an ETA on when all the Rixixi will be uploaded, but bear with us while we upload them!
  Your Accomplishments will be mirrored, your Breeding comments will not be (breeding comments from both dA and lorekeeper will be accepted). There will be a note on all pre-Lorekeeper Rixixi that says when they were uploaded to dA, this is for the sake of Happy Birthstones For You. If a Rixixi has Aexented, the Aexented forms should be also uploaded in images, unless the Aexented forms' images were deleted (I've already come across at least one old Rixixi that had this happen).
• Design Approvals is closed while Rixixi are uploaded to the site. When it reopens, there will be a new Import Details form used for all subspecies of Rixixi, so if you have any sta.shed WIP rixixi, please swap their comments over to that one!
• If you had a companion in a character/mymber house's inventory under the old system, it should have been removed and stashed in the Data section. If you still have a companion in the inventory page, please send in a bug report via discord or via claims.
• If you see an issue with your newly uploaded Rixixi that isn't fixed within like ten minutes, please send in a bug report via discord or via claims. I'm gonna be doing a lot of these and it gets the brain a little melty at times, there will likely be some minor issues. I typed "Decemberoon" for a Birthstones note earlier.
• You can now edit your Rixixi's names and bios on-site! This allows for some more adult content than on dA, but we still don't allow any content that's bigoted or harmful towards others. If we find any of that going on, we might have to ask you to remove it, or depending on severity, remove it ourselves.
• You can also transfer your Rixixi on-site! The transfer thread will still be open on dA in case people want to do things like leave and give their Ixi away. It would suck to make an account if you're leaving???

THERE'S ALSO A MAJOR EVENT COMING UP THIS SUMMER (CURRENTLY SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST)

I don't want to give too much away ahead of time, but some useful information:

• It's a crossover outside of Chasmhome, involves Rixixi on our end
• It's heavily breeding-focused, and will not deplete your breeding slots

So if you want to get any of your favorite Rixixi breedable in preparation, now would be a good time!

Pride Month:

Has been extended to the end of the day on July 9th! The chasm event, that is - I do not have the authority to officially extend Pride Month the IRL thing. I would do unwise things if I had this power.

Rixixi Uploads, and some site updates:

• At the time of this news post, we're in April of 2019, and at RXX-380. I'm hoping to get to RXX-400 tonight, which is  IA CACH AZ-OKH/IA AEHT/HARK IX'X IMRIRI (The Leviathan).
• We now have Nicknames and Gender/Pronouns on character profiles! The Nicknames section is being filled in on upload, the Gender/Pronouns section is not even if there's pronouns listed in bio, because I don't want to reformat your bios or assume how you want to handle things. Go ahead and mess with those!
• There was a genocorecollapse/genosupernova that resulted in us needing to edit the site. To avoid editing the site further, please keep your Rixixi at around 50 genes or less! Technically the limit is actually 63 or so genes, depending on how long the genes' names are, but 50 is a much rounder number and leaves a lot more space. This is not an official limit right now, but it is a request! If we get more genocorecollapses, it may become an official rule. The site just can't handle geno strings that are that long.
• Character profiles have been lengthened to the point that you could feasibly put the bee movie script in them, or DOOM encoded as text. We do not actually recommend putting these things in there, but the length limit does allow it. You can put massive character histories in there with no problem!

All Rixixi have been uploaded to the site! You should be able to find your Rixixi on your page!

Design approvals is now reopened! You can submit design approvals at the regular journal, redesigns at import updates (or through lorekeeper's functions), and so on!

Some notes on characters, including the notes from the previous news. This was all likely in discord, so if you've read this before, that's why.

• We now have Nicknames and Gender/Pronouns on character profiles! The Nicknames section is being filled in on upload, the Gender/Pronouns section is not even if there's pronouns listed in bio, because I don't want to reformat your bios or assume how you want to handle things. Go ahead and mess with those!
• There was a genocorecollapse/genosupernova that resulted in us needing to edit the site. To avoid editing the site further, please keep your Rixixi at around 50 genes or less! Technically the limit is actually 63 or so genes, depending on how long the genes' names are, but 50 is a much rounder number and leaves a lot more space. This is not an official limit right now, but it is a request! If we get more genocorecollapses, it may become an official rule. The site just can't handle geno strings that are that long.
• Character profiles have been lengthened to the point that you could feasibly put the bee movie script in them, or DOOM encoded as text. We do not actually recommend putting these things in there, but the length limit does allow it. You can put massive character histories in there with no problem!
• You can enter a Display Name to have a different title than your entered name for your Rixixi! Display names will appear on the profile and lineage, but the actual name will appear on tabs such as data and inventory.
• Pronounciation is also available to be optionally entered! This will appear on the profile.
• Companions were updated so that their skills appear on character pages! If your companion does not have a skill attached (except for Rixixi Companions on Mechanix), this is an error - please report it!

As always, if you see an error with your character, please feel free to report it! These should all be finished uploads, so it's fine to report anything at all that seems wrong.

After this, the next project is to move Story Modes to the lorekeeper!

The Semi Sale/MYO Sale is open!

The Rixixi semi-custom sale has been upgraded into a general Chasmhome sale, now with B-NOMALY MYOS, Customs, and items! Everything has also been somewhat lowered in price and some limits have been removed or altered, so it's a great time to check out what's changed if you weren't quite sure before! A Euphoria wish was made for a Halloween treat for everyone! As a result, a Marshmallow, Hard Candy, Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, and White Chocolate have been distributed to all users! Enjoy the candy, and if you want more, the Treat for Trick barter is still open and accepting rocks!

Additionally, a Lucida wish caused an item to be released off the to-do list without item art! The Picnic Basket item (originally suggested by Lucifers-Law-Inc on dA) is a lootbox that drops food items that grant permanent stats! It'll drop 5 of them at a time. The Picnic Basket can be created through crafting! Usually crafting items have item art when they launch, but there was kind of nothing else to grant this wish better than the Picnic Basket, so uh, it launched early, haha.

• The Use Items page will be ported soon, but I need to figure out what I'm doing with Free Parking/test raffles for it, figure out if B-NOMALIES need to be on the Use Items page or if Seraph's covers everything, and so on.

Slowly, the beast dodged twigs and dead leaves, debris left over from the autumn past. Slowly, they sought their target. Quickly, they pounced.

"Prairie!" Serritana's voice rang out. "No! Absolutely not! Get down!"

The Dwarf Primal, called out by name, sat innocently on the flower-seller's shelves, a bouquet stowed neatly in their mouth.. The Wandering Willow stood, tapping her foot, pointing at the stall firmly. Clearly she wanted it back, and they had been caught. The mighty hunter opened their mouth unceremoniously, dropping the flowers back to the stall, before slinking off without a word, looking over their shoulder again at the colorful display.

They would be back.

I've actually wanted to release these since the first Robot Uprising so it's exciting to have them out now!

The event has the usual scavenger hunt, a prompt, and some bonus eggs if you do a couple specific things in April! Check it out! There's also a raffle, with tickets hidden somewhere (it's a couple of the eggs). The raffle is for The Fool, a tarot-themed Guard:

The clean water washed through Mina's gills, pulling oxygen into their vents. They blinked sand out of their eyes as they neared a sunken chest. It was pristine, almost too much so. Like it had been set up here as a message. Pondering, but excited, the dwarf primal popped out a claw, reaching the hooked nail in to press on cylinders and tumblers. Slowly, they tapped their way in, and the chest creaked open, releasing a flood of bubbles and loose coins upward.

Mina's heart pounded. They had never seen insignias like this on coins. Was it from a civilization long past? They took one in their mouth as the metal scattered around them, their tail smacking through the chest and knocking coins asunder, and rushed to the surface.

"Aurri!" Mina cried as they surfaced, warm air rushing into their vents unhindered by water.

The red Rixixi, lounging on their back in the water, turned to face the treasure hunter. "To face" was an inaccuracy - they simply spun around and turned their head upside down, barely keeping their eyes above water. Aurri gave a grin as Mina paddled forward, placing the coin on their chest.

"You're from ancient times. Who made this?"

It's Meningitis Survival Day again! Or, it will be in a few hours.

(For the newbies, I - Anarchisme - had viral meningitis on July 4th 2014, so now I celebrate that instead of the regular american 4th of july. Back when I had meningitis, I was working on designs for the bots that would become Mechanix, specifically fireworks designs, and so the last couple of years have been fireworks mechanix design raffles.)

This year, we've got a guard up for raffle! The raffle lasts from July 4th. 2023 to July 18th, 2023 (site time).

Something strange is happening in the Chasm.

Perhaps you should ask the Eye about it if you find them, but it's been a while since someone's heard from them. We highly recommend Chasmjumping at this time.

Due to the disturbance - whatever the disturbance is - all rolls that happen due to Chasmjumping, Chasm Explorations, and Chasm Hunting will be boosted to the 4-item maximum for the duration of this event. This does count as Eagle Eye even though it's guaranteed!

The news will update with what's happening 1 week after someone finds the disturbance. Good luck!

Other Happenings:

• Plant Fiber has been added to Nskanetis and Earth exploring as well as Plant-Creature hunting! It can be used to craft Fabric, and other recipes will be examined to see if Plant Fiber should be included in an alt. recipe (probably in place of twine) soon! More Plant Fiber recipes will come out in the future!
• Fabric has been added to Nskanetis and Earth exploring! It can be used 1:1 in place of leather in any recipe, and has an alternate recipe for apparel that costs less than the leather version! More Fabric recipes will come out in the future!
• due to popular demand Due to the Disturbance, the Horseman Heart is now available! It can be crafted in the Black Market, but take note that it takes quite a bit of ingredients! The Horseman Heart allows a Rixixi to transform into a Chasm Horseman alt. form, and also take on the skill Horseman Host!
  Horseman Host: Any negative effects from Radiation Sickness are inverted. If they cannot be inverted, they simply will not trigger. Does not effect Chasmhome or any Coat radiation sicknesses.

The Veluchasm Festival!

Runs August 1, 2023 - 11:59 PM August 31, 2023 (Pacific Time)

We have drinks, streamers, sparklers, and aliens, no matter which world you’re celebrating on! The denizens of Velukaelo and those of the Chasm-Connected worlds have been aware of each other for years, and our celebration is back and better than ever!

While Ketucari and Rixixi have had relationships every now and again, something new has started to spring up - a hybrid species referred to as the Ketixi! With the help of B-NOMALY mechanic Steele and expert engineer Kenkasei, the B-NOMALY’s breeding safety machine was altered with tarn water to safely join the genes of Rixixi and Ketucari while filtering out all sorts of possible issues. While it is possible to create a Ketixi naturally, it is rare, so we recommend use of the machine!

Something else new has cropped up again - with further experiments to the breeding safety machine, Ketucari and B-NOMALIES have been able to hybridize into what passes as a bipedal companion on Velukaelo and a subtype of B-NOMALY in the Chasm! KETU-NOMALIES stand mostly bipedally, and have a few K-NOM specific traits such as Godkiller Face and Godkiller Hands due to their heritage!

You've wandered deep into the Chasm, past a steep, slick drop made of a crystalline surface. The darkness beckons below. You enter, knowing of the Eye and their many abilities.

However, before you lies a glowing tunnel where the Eye should be, the light pouring through making you feel sick. You drop deeper and deeper in the cosmic void, unable to float like you should in this place. What's going on?

OURGH... OH. PLEASE... DO NOT ENTER THE TUNNEL... IT LEADS TO THE DESOLATED WORLD. OURGH... YOU ARE NOT SAFE HERE! THE MASSIVE CREATURES, THEY HAVE KNOCKED ME FROM MY PLACE GUARDING IT. THE TUNNEL IS UNSAFE, YOU MUST LEAVE! You find the world twisting as a tendril reaches forth from the massive, fallen Eye, touching your forehead. You find yourself where you once were, but you remember everything. The Eye... the Eye is such a well-known entity. If they're hurt, you don't know what else could be happening. You have to tell someone.

"I'm surprised you celebrate the human way," Uuner creaked down at the dwarf primal.

"Nonsense," Ekin spoke with one hand on their chin, pondering. "Humans, of course not. Just a moment, though."

The dwarf primal pressed both front paws to the sides of a massive pumpkin, the color of their fur almost matching the rind of the gourd. As their paws began glowing, a vine grew out from where it once was lopped off at the stem. The vine wrapped itself around the pumpkin, entwining itself in spirals around the globular fruit. Finally, the vine neatly tucked itself away underneath the pumpkin, and the glow faded away. Taking a deep breath as they released their paws, Ekin pulled a large knife out from under the table.

"I celebrate my way," The dwarf primal drawled with a smile, and sunk the knife into the pumpkin.

• The Couloir is now an explorable world! Check the Canon Worlds page for more information. If you have any leftover ideas or art that you didn't get to use for Desolated, please feel free to use them as Couloir explorations! They work basically the same, except you get less lore back now. You also no longer have to depict your Ixi in PPE, but if you do this, it's guaranteed that you'll get 2 levels of radiation poisoning. (There is an item to override this)
• There is now a hazard warning for both the Couloir and the Leyline on the Canon Worlds page due to their ability to cause temp conditions by existing.

Rixixi News

Y'all may have noticed that design approval and breedings slowed, and breedings were briefly marked closed to Rixixi. I've unmarked them as closed, and I'm absolutely going to get to them before anything here happens, but they're going to close again in January, and here's what's up.

Due to dA making sta.sh function far worse, genos are all going to be converted into MYOs, and design approvals are going to be run through lorekeeper at that point. This is going to happen sometime in January - I'm not sure on the exact date yet, we have to get a couple of functions worked into MYOs first because a couple of things are missing but it's only a couple. Breedings are involved in this because they generate more genos and I don't really know what to do about that, I'm fine with rolling the current ones but I don't want more to be made while I'm converting from geno to MYO, y'know?

This will probably take a while because there are a lot of genos. This is fine, I like tedious things, but it just might put a holdup on new designs. Please be aware of that! It'll also probably be kind of weird getting used to the lorekeeper design approval method if you haven't used it already. If you've put a B-NOM in, it's the same thing.

Design approval and breedings were slowed/temporarily closed because this was originally going to happen in November maybe (didn't reach an official decision in admin chat but it was my original plan), but didn't happen that way, and December is entirely too busy for me to work this in, so it's moved over to January and I'm giving y'all a heads up in case you want to get any designs in before then. (:

A strange cold wind blew over the desert, preceding a shadow gliding over the dunes. Slow wingbeats thumped down through the sky as Chione made her way across the northern hemisphere of Sxriix, following in Enneriix's footsteps to bring winter - and what she had heard of winter was cold and white. Frosted crystals sprinkled down from the Dwarf Primal's wings, melting in midair before they reached the sand, but still baffling the creatures below and the air itself. Chione smiled and darted towards the nearby town. Surely they would be happy to see snow. Maybe some of them had never seen it before.

She stopped in midair against her will, something grasping at the nape of her neck. Wings fluttering like a hummingbird, arms going every which way, Chione twisted and wriggled until she could finally see... Enneriix itself, looking at her with a sigh plastered across its face. A deep voice rang out from the Ixi.

"Stop. Freezing. The desert."

Winter Changelog

• This Winter's new starter is Chione, the uh, adorable ecological disaster... She has two new genes:
• New gene: Glitz, a gene that makes glitter appear on the Ixi! We got permission from Ketucari to clone the Luster gene because I needed it for Ketixi and of course regular Ixi.
• New gene: Stamped, for any simple shapes that Squared and Hexagon don't cover. (Suggested by @Kitsu and also pawstepsinthesnow )
• There's a hub on dA as usual!
• The seasonal Raid has rolled over, and... something new is happening. The Quarantine Ring is leading a raid on all of the Couloir gigafauna, to take them down before they can strike. All previous raid bosses are available this raid season, and the raid points count starts at 10 - fogshards are immediately available. Happy Holidays!

The dwarf Primal lounged in the field, rolling side to side in contentment. Flowers bloomed all around her, wafting sweet scents up into the air. The mix of sunlight and a fresh spring breeze brushed just right over her scaled nostrils, causing the small Primal to sneeze. The Rixixi sat upright, cleaning her face off, as a shadow encroached on her personal space. Another Rixixi stood over her, almost looming due to her diminuitive stature and the other's status as a walking tree.

"Hey, Serri, didn't see you there," Shasta mlemmed her paw and rubbed it against her face, cleaning a speck of dirt from a scaly eye ridge. "What's shakin'?"

Serritana chuckled, shaking her head. "I thought you were heading out here to collect and deliver flowers for me, but you seem to be lounging by yourself."

"Oh!" The dwarf said, as if finally remembering what she was doing. "Serri, baby, there's flowers all around, take a look! Look at these sweet little daisies, come here. Aren't they cute? And then these little violets, they're small, but it's a nice pop of color. You can get some flowers right here, I'm telling you!"

The wandering willow pulled back, laughing but clearly baffled at being tugged around like a toy. It was true, however. She thumbed a daisy. The wildflowers were plentiful, and growing all over. They would make a welcome addition to her bouquets.

Spring Changelog

• This Winter's new starter is Shasta, for all your good vibes needs. She has three new genes:
• New gene: Skink (nSki/SkiSki), or Boar+. Skink is also lines down the side of an Ixi, though these can be one to two (three if dominant) different base coats' colors, instead of lighter and darker than base coat colors. (suggested by pawstepsinthesnow , sort of)
• New gene: Chain (nChn/ChnChn), inspired by chain catsharks, a series of connected geometric blobs, a little more irregular than the Hexagon gene. Spot genes like Inkblot, Cowspot, and Koi can fill in the entire interior of the Chain markings, no matter the original size requirements for the spot markings. (suggested by pawstepsinthesnow , sort of)
• New Gene: Polydactyl (+PlyD). Technically this could have been a mut station edit, but we're expanding it to allow many thumbs, misplaced thumbs on the hand, and an optional back paw dewclaw on non-primal Rixixi.
• There's a dA hub!
• The seasonal Raid has rolled over, and flowers are truly in bloom. Massive flowers upon a twisting rack of antlers, miles tall. The Trophy is here.

Manticores now have imports available! Being humans with extreme body mods and some gene splicing, some mutations are unavailable to them, and some have limitations, but they're still plenty moddable. Their head and facial hair are freely editable without items, along with their masks (masks being common in the Alchemy ring). They do need an item to breed with Rixixi, unless they're a starter - luckily, the Manticore Vat is cheap to craft at the Witchin' Kitchen, or to purchase at the Egg Shop or Event Shop!

Manticores will have an Illusionate-Glass Core, but I didn't have time to get it out right on launch, because I um. Kind of forgot they needed one until 5 hours ago. So that'll be coming soon, don't worry!

As always, there is an April Fools' event, and Chasm Eggs are floating about on 8 pages on Nsk Net! Go ahead and find them! If the items seem a bit underwhelming, it's because they're the crafting/purchasing cost for Manticore Vats, which are cheap! Though of course you don't have to spend it on that C:

DESIGN APPROVAL AND BREEDING (FOR RIXIXI) ARE CLOSED TEMPORARILY

I am porting all genos to MYO slots! They will be linked on the breeding comment/live transmutation comment/etc for ease of finding where they've gone! THIS WILL TAKE A WHILE. Sorry in advance for the wait. When they're ported, Design Approval will reopen on this lorekeeper site, and breedings will open back up!

I know there is quite a backlog of designs and breedings - sorry about that, I was just having a hard time setting aside a good day for them! They will still be gotten to, they're still valid. However, if you are sent to corrections, it'll have to wait, corrections is Closed.

Sorry again for the wait, fingers crossed that this isn't too painful!

UPDATE:

If you have a MYO geno uploaded to the site, you're allowed to design it and upload it to the site. Please feel free to ask if you're confused by the process, I don't have a page written up for it yet but it's the same method as B-NOMALIES. I normally would prefer everyone to be on equal footing but I want to sort of test some beta features that were added to MYOs and so this would help me out greatly if anyone is interested. No pressure though, only if you have one you want to upload.

Quick update on the geno transfer to MYOs:

it is still going, I swear, there are just so many genos so it's taking a bit fdggh. But it's going. I'm in the earlier quarters of the breeding journal, then I'll move to additional geno sources, like the initial X-NOM crossover, euphoria threads, the new breeding prompts, semicustoms, and so on. so if it seems like i'm skipping some it might be in another journal... oops.

Wingbeats jostled the waves, sending droplets of water pounding up into the air. A dwarf primal flew over the foamy surf to the beach. Something followed them, a shadow in the water, small but quick. The dwarf primal touched down, bare feet padding along the rocky shore. Colorful stones and polished glass glistened, wet and shining in the sunlight. Aurri leapt out of the surf to stand beside the primal, shaking off water briefly before looking over the shore. The wave rider whistled.

"It's beautiful," Aurri said. "Look what you've found, huh, Bede?"

Bede kicked at the sand and nodded, unsure what to say in response. Curious, the small Ixi started picking through the colorful items, looking for rocks of interest. Aurri knelt down beside them, looking back and forth across the colorful shore.

"Need any help?" Aurri piped up.

"No, I've got it," Bede nodded. "If you want to stay and pick up some too, go ahead."

Aurri smiled, jogging a bit across the beach and plopping down to sift through some pink and red glass. Just wait until they showed everyone else. They would love it here.

Sorry for the delay! We were trying to figure out what to do about a dA problem! Details at the end!

We have drinks, streamers, sparklers, and aliens, no matter which world you’re celebrating on! The denizens of Velukaelo and those of the Chasm-Connected worlds have been aware of each other for years, and our celebration is back and better than ever!

While Ketucari and Rixixi have had relationships every now and again, something new has started to spring up - a hybrid species referred to as the Ketixi! With the help of B-NOMALY mechanic Steele and expert engineer Kenkasei, the B-NOMALY’s breeding safety machine was altered with tarn water to safely join the genes of Rixixi and Ketucari while filtering out all sorts of possible issues. While it is possible to create a Ketixi naturally, it is rare, so we recommend use of the machine!

Something else new has cropped up again - with further experiments to the breeding safety machine, Ketucari and B-NOMALIES have been able to hybridize into what passes as a bipedal companion on Velukaelo and a subtype of B-NOMALY in the Chasm! KETU-NOMALIES stand mostly bipedally, and have a few K-NOM specific traits such as Godkiller Face and Godkiller Hands due to their heritage!

Further, the Manticore Alchemy Ring has taken to certain traits of Ketixi, making new Ketixi Manticores. This is... normal, we're sure. We're not going to question them. It's probably fine.

Hey, I've been under the weather for a while now and I was too out of it to think of how going off dA would effect the rollover to fall. (Going off of dA was mentioned in Veluchasm if you missed it) Let me take a day to get things ready while I make sure things are set up off dA properly and actually ready. Fall will be going up midday (mid-evening? I'm nocturnal, sorry!) 23rd of September. Sorry about that.

Feel free to get your last-minute Summer stuff in, I'll try and roll what I can after I get things prepped!

A trail of golden leaves scattered across the fall-tinted underbrush. Uuner ran one of the chrysopoeia-plated plants through their fingers, the glamoured púca plodding along through the forest, watching their feet as they followed an increasing number of shimmering leaves and flowers. The occasional golden nut or acorn joined in as well, a round object glinting as it rolled along.

At the end of the trail was a dark-furred dwarf primal, ros wings beating as ro fidgeted with another little object. Uuner came up behind ros and one of the fidgeting wings immediately reached out, slapping them across the chest. The fae chuckled and jumped back as the primal got to ros feet.

"Don't look!" Aurea scoffed, hiding something behind ros back, but then ros expression softened. "Oh- oh, your eminence. I'm sorry, I'm making you a gift, I didn't want anyone to see."

Uuner chuckled deep in their throat. "It's sweet of you. I don't need anything, but I like the gesture." They reached down, picking up a gilded leaf. "Is this all safe for the forest?"

The dwarf primal bobbed their head sheepishly. "It's just rocks. It'll wipe off or crumble off in time."

Uuner hummed, turning the other way. "I think your rocks are very nice."

Fall Changelog

• This Summer's new starter is Aurea, who is glitterbombing the forest please help. Ro has two new genes:
• New gene: Gilded (nGild/GildGild). It's basically Forgeblood but on the outside?
• New gene: Kintsugi (nKt/KtKt), it's groundbreaking++
• There is no longer a dA hub as we are moving as much as possible off of dA. More on this in the Veluchasm news at the bottom.
• The seasonal Raid has rolled over, time to go fishing...?
• 'how's the geno transfer and pride month image going' i got isekai'd by the hospital haha umm
  okay so not literally, i was only in the hospital for a day, but everything happens so much, there's been like a new thing wrong every week. uh. those things are still happening they're just happening slowly, i swear i'm still here. everyone has been super patient and nice i just wanted to say something on that.

• Veluchasm on pause due to no longer having matching admins with Ketucari. In talks with Ketucari admins on how to make things work as things stand, but events are on hold at current, and what we are working on is making uploads and activities still functional in the meantime. I'm really sorry for the delay.
• Please do not bother any previous Chasmhome + Ketucari admins about this. This is not intended as public drama for entertainment. The reason this news was so delayed going up from the discord version was I was not sure how to phrase it, and I'm sorry for that.

• Genuinely might make Rixixi and B-NOMALIES semi-open, allowing them to be open outside of the game setting and requiring a geno/MYO to play the game. This is mostly due to me keeping having medical issues. I mean if I'm going to be unavailable a lot I should still let people play with them. It's under consideration. Again, feel free to leave feedback.

We're still picking up from hiatus, so I hope you don't mind that this April is pretty chill! It's still got the scavenger hunt (already up! you may have seen an egg) and the usual bonus prompts that are annual, but other than that there's just a raffle commemmorating some of the releases from previous years!

To enter, you can select a raffle ticket for Mumbling Heights (left) or Do Androids Dream Of Astroturf Mechanix (right) on ANY egg claim. One raffle ticket per claim, but you can claim up to 8 tickets per person - you can dump all your tickets into one Ixi/Mechanix or split them up, whichever you want! There's a bit more details on the hub on their items.

And speaking of cleaning up from hiatus, changelog:

• There is now a Temporary Design Approval Page, for genos not ported to MYOs yet. It's limited to 1/day currently, so that I can continue porting the genos to MYOs once I finish spring cleaning. I am just so tired of having that on hold but it was on hold so that the queue wouldn't go wild, so I hope you don't mind the limit for now! Thanks!
• Item Use prompt moved to site because uh I may have been intending to do that for ages now lol
• Rixixi and B-NOMALIES are officially marked as Semi-Open on their info pages, and the Chasm-Connected Bestiary, which I swear I fixed the images on before and I guess I have to do again? oh boy. Aexent were already marked as Semi-Open but their page now makes it clearer that it's about the masterlist. As for Ixi and B-NOMS, you can make them as characters, you just need a geno/MYO for actual gameplay. I've been fine with this for a long time and said as such, I'm just making it official.
  KETIXI AND K-NOMS ARE STILL CLOSED DUE TO HYBRIDIZATION SORRY. IF I GET MORE SPECIFIC RULES FROM MOON I'LL PUT 'EM ON THE KETIXI PAGE.
• Training Mode EXP was doubled or tripled across the board. Rixixi as an ARPG is meant to reward both activities and random drawings and meanwhile I've had extreme burnout due to only doing activities in ARPGs for years, and trying to get to the point where I could get one out a day. look just have fun ok. is only game.
  "doesnt this wildly overpower roothornes" yes. it's fine. you still have to do story modes i'm not removing that, i just intend to add more options for it to make it more fun.

Hello! By request, Chasm Fae have been separated as their own thing from iiixkitsunexiii and pawstepsinthesnow 's Awakened fae! The current Chasm Fae information is HERE!  You should probably check it out if you have a Chasm Fae or have interest in the lore - the lore is the thing that changed the most, along with not having the wing requirements that were very specific to Awakened! Everything else is more subtle, as both species have a large amount of variety to them.
As usual, do not bother anyone about this, this was a fully willing split on both ends and it was pretty fun to add a mycelial network to everything. We are keeping Chasm Fae chasm-relevant with admin departure and not using someone else's thing.

Chasm Fae made with Fairy Circles going forward, or just made as the open species, should be made with the current lore, as Awakened are somebody else's thing that isn't Chasm-relevant! Thanks for understanding!

If you already have an Awakened fae made before 2025, you CAN keep them the same and keep them as an Awakened, grandfathered in. (Officially ruled as such by Kitsu and Sian.) You can also keep your fae the same and move them to Chasm Fae lore if the design would fit with very little tinkering or no tinkering (see above note about this being most heavily a lore change). However, if you want to change your Fae's design due to the update, you can do that for free by commenting on this news post with the fullsize image of the Chasm Fae form. If you want to update the Rixixi/B-NOMALY/Aex form with it, you can go ahead and link that as well.
Updated Fae must be Chasm Fae and not Awakened!

Other small changes to Chasm Fae that might not be noticed right away:

• It's spelled Fairy Circle in this version, for genuinely no reason other than I habitually spell it that way and want to make less typos... (:
• Aexent can have a Fairy Circle applied. Why? I don't know,  just, you can do that now.
• Probably easier noticed but just in case, the list of Tell traits was changed up a bit!
• And on the contrary, literally no one would notice this but me, but in the images section, the notes are formatted as "Fairy Circle: [myth source]" in place of "Faery Circle: Chasm Fae", and if I don't know the myth source it'll probably just be Chasm Fae.

...You can also ask for Just The Spelling/Formatting to be updated and nothing else, if literally anyone but me cares about that (hehe), because I only changed the format on the starters and on Magpie. Note that the formatting update is meant to be an indicator that it's a Chasm Fae so like maybe don't do that on an Awakened it might not make sense?

Anarchie currently has suggested the prompts of "a march or demonstration" or "starting a punk rock band" for this, and is taking suggestions.

Small notes (upcoming changes):

• Ketixi/KETU-NOMALY design approvals are being fixed up for relaunch and are almost done! (The final draft is in talks but I might need to fix up something, full transparency.) Thank you for your patience and I'm sorry for the trouble! Anything that got stuck in design approval will be grabbed!
• B-NOM tokens are getting retouched soon to be a bit easier to work with so maybe wait a moment before putting art in for tokens! (: Rixixi EXP may get touched up slightly as well, but Training Mode has already been fixed up, so that will get altered the least.
• Several little tweaks to existing genes - nothing that would change the legality of existing imports, just know that several suggestions were written down and are likely to be implemented as soon as I sketch up an example. (:

One of the examples in token calc was doubled from 25 to 50 as a result, one of them went from 65 to 285.
• You can resubmit ANY AND ALL B-NOMALY ART to token calculation due to this change. You do not have to have the original calculation refunded.
• Tokens are now going to be calculated WITH prompt submission instead of submitting them separately, for speed. Sorry for making this a hassle before, genuinely.

Since the fireworks mechanix is for Meningitis Survival Day, (which is to say, I got viral meningitis on July 4th 11 years ago now and I guess I might be still alive depending on your definition?) all users can take a second claim of the free first aid kit as a small thing. If you send in a claim and it's noticed on the lorekeeper you haven't put in one before, you'll get 2. The end date on newbies getting 2 is err, when I start forgetting to put it as two myself. I'll be putting it as 2 without it being mentioned for as long as I can remember.

Anareizh is also free for the entire month of July rather than just once.

Hey, I'm sorry if this sounds alarming, but I have to take a soft hiatus, in general - I'm going to be on social media and discord less while I do this. The thing is, by soft hiatus I mean soft, I'll be checking in and doing rolls, and I kind of hope that being on social media less will actually give me more time for rolls, so calling it a hiatus might sound weird. • A list of past events is in progress! I've been noticing that lore is absolutely scattered nonsensically across dA and Lorekeeper and Nsk Net and I'm trying to fix that now. I've almost got everything from dA so far, it's up to Cat Country.
• I need to finish figuring things out fully, and write up a full post, but the Ketixi page has been heavily updated with where to post things - there'll be a full update on this but in the meantime, there's more info for you, the players.

• Pride All Year real this time. I actually intentionally added it to the prompt library, where you can enter off-season Pride art, and if you want, send in art for next year's collab early. The full reward is reduced to that of regular Prompt Library is all, this is mainly for fun if you're not submitting early.
• Due to the late Fall launch right after the semi-hiatus, a couple of extra things are going on with the prompts to make up for the lag. Cat and Mjilikae and Myrk's Seasonal Sale are both active until their natural cycle in January to make up for lost time. Lunar is accepting any of the seasonal rare drops, and along with pilfering Myrk's shop, can return any season's starter slots (Chasm Egg Shop should have all of these listed in 'Special Starters and Seasonal Starters' - some of those are event starters, if you can't tell, try looking for a seasonal Festival background, only the 2018-2019 Primals have a different one as far as Festival Ixi go), and also as a semi-related note I'm probably going to be using Lunar photos in the rolls as a shorthand because I have a lot that make for funny replies and it makes it easy to go off of. Fang's Fogshard Barter is active until its natural cycle in February.

Multispecies News

Several pages on Nsk Net are getting a makeover! This is a work in progress and I'm really hoping to get it significantly more done by Halloween. Here's the progress so far.

• Accented and the rules page - Aexent can now take the skill. However, as Aexent already have Aex mutagen, they do not actually need to supply the prompt. Aexent can add additional forms through the Aexented prompt and will be granted the Favored Form skill if it's ever needed to be known for a prompt that the extra form is the same Aex.
  Yes, there is an obvious loophole here that makes Aexented forms really easy. I'm not stating it outright but if you notice it, I'm not stopping you.
  Page needs wording cleanup now that there are 3 species using it, otherwise is fine. You can use this, it's good to go! Examples of Favored Forms in use are ANARCHIE-003 and VILES-004 (retroactively on the last one, but it works by the current rules)
• The Rules Page actually has our standards for mature content listed clearly now. The rules page is somewhat under construction to alter wording that was not updated to fit the move to Lorekeeper, but this has been mostly handled. also discussion of IRL crime and cannibalism is no longer banned and falls under being a heavy subject like everything else; just be so normal okay
• The Nav page on Nsk Net is being updated to have more useful and obvious information, such as the rules being in a really obvious place, offsite links and rollovers being listed, etc. PLANNED UPDATES: The import links being consolidated because that's taking up so much space, and similar consolidation to this. Losing more dA links; they probably can be archived rather than used. Where are the Chasm Fae and Chrono links?
• I have been chipping at the Lore Log further! It's currently in the middle of IHFY at time of writing! Sorry that it's not done, I really want it to be. I might make it a bit slapdash at first from here on and then go back to make it pretty.

QUICK UPDATE BECAUSE MY HORSE (LAPTOP) NEEDS TO GET BACK TO THE VET

• MAJOR UPDATE: PSD storage moved from the magmatixi stash to the Rixixi Admin Google Drive. The stash is still there! It just will no longer be updated. There are also some concept arts and old prelaunch PSDs on the drive that are available to look at/mess with. The prelaunch PSDs can't be used ingame (if you wanted to use them for a relevant aexent form it's fine??) but you can do what you want with them otherwise. I've also included some of my personal edits, and uploaded the companion skins that require permissions to use in case anyone lose the stash files to those- they DO still require permissions. Be cool. (:

• KNOWN PROBLEMS:
  Temporary stats aren't appearing correctly.
  Bug involved causes the parameter to reset to default whenever entered. Kind of fascinating.
  Companions are cacheing past names and so re-adding a companion of the same species won't work. I thought we fixed this (: Trying to figure out why the fix stopped, in the meantime, cleared the cache of deleted companions. I don't know
  The items are so fuck. I love mess.
  Items can be ADDED normally. Items CANNOT BE DELETED without the use of the backend. Items WILL NOT BE LOGGED AS DELETED. Items, if RENAMED, will create a new item, and NOT LOG AS EDITED OR DELETED. Our test user is named Missingno and I think I brought this on myself. Gave Missingno 99 Whatevers.
• I can fix most of these issues on the backend manually when I have my laptop. It's just a little tedious. If you want to report bugs on the site (there's the little ⚠ button) or on the discord, you can, it just will take me a bit due to laptop. Otherwise, I'll keep looking into what's causing these.

Was hoping to finish the lore log and updating the chrono page before putting this up but I'm not sure that's viable. Probably going to pick more at the lore log before sending this thing back in.

my cords and tablet have been taking a beating from all the other hardware nonsense lately and having to yoink things around and i probably should have seen that coming. it's normal wear and tear from everything else but it's shitty timing.

i intentionally use a cheap model of tablet for replaceability and i managed to find it on a site that i had a gift card loaded on so please just give me a moment, thanks! hopefully will take a week or so tops. siren is letting me borrow hers when possible but she has things to do as well.

It might be very guessable that current events have delayed things, especially if I tell you that some personal things were happening before the main current events going on. This is VERY IRRITATING to me as far as missing deadlines go because things were very doable as hell before there was a chaos tipping point again.

WITHIN THE NEXT 24 HOURS THERE WILL BE A WINTER ROLLOVER TO AVOID DELAYING THAT FURTHER, SORRY. Delaying it this long was not intended, things were a lot more on track than this before everything snowballed personally and overall. Event prep WILL still take place, there's just things to focus on, need to make sure that chaos is under control.

CHANGELOG WILL BE WITH WINTER, updated several genes (almost entirely text but not exclusively), hope it'll help!

Sorry again for the delay. Really didn't expect this many personal and major things. I kinda expect many of you didn't either. Take care, okay?

Winter Changelog

• As is very obvious without having to say anything in text, a large event is being planned and is very close to being deployed! Due to unplanned IRL issues (current events, illness, hardware issues), however, the Winter Festival as it is normally known is currently a mess! 🎊 A smaller changelog is under way, fixing up some things while the event becomes more feasible.
• The Dragon Sighting Winter Prompt has not been launched with the others, as it is intended to be thematic with current events most years!
  I've shown my friends the placeholder to keep its code in the system correct, it looks very haunted.
  It will be out with the event!
• The seasonal Raid has rolled over, and the Raiding Season is back, but with a twist? Something odd has been happening with the forms of the gigafauna, you'll get extra points for participating in checking this out.
  NOTE: RAIDING SEASON MAY STAY FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME, AS THIS IS CONSIDERED A BACKGROUND PLOT THREAD! Take your time, this is an in-between point so that the New Raids may change over naturally. (:

• MANTICORES have had their genes made a little more available! Some genes were moved up in the availability bracket, it was made clearer that things not allowed as genes can be made as costume parts, AND there are now several caveats that can cure ailments on manticores (especially for lower-level issues), such as adding a Mymber Heart Valve, using a Medic, or Anareizh's Enchanted Scarf. Horseman Heart under consideration. Manhorse?
• MANY GENES had minor updates. Any of the following genes can be updated on an already-uploaded Ixi in regular design updates without an item as long as you're just updating these (little touchups can be done to the rest of the design but should be very minor and stay true to the original shape, if they don't, you'll need an item, sorry!) Just mention "Winter 2026 Gene Update" or similar as proof in the comment.
• Unders had its dom range returned from prelaunch and updated to fit the current design and all bases! It's also on Tan!
• Accents had its range expanded to be closer - but not exact - to Unders and Tan. The primary difference is the Accents range leans less on the neck and more on the shoulders while covering the entire tail.
• Minimal Markings is now available in any color, to replace Small Accents.
• Stained Glass has been upgraded to be able to make Glass Markings similarly to how Lunar was upgraded to be able to make Galactic Markings.
• Dominant Koi has an optional presentation of Inverted Koi, and Dominant Tortoiseshell has an optional presentation of Inverted Calico (not a typo), both of which can change the base coat to a base coat of the user's choosing, and add an inbuilt common mark, a gradient-like mark for Koi, an unders-like mark for Tortie (modified to be a white mark in most cases), with the usual spots in place. These are both optional, and the "normal" presentation of Dominant Koi/Tortoiseshell has also been upgraded to simply allow any color and any amount of colors.
• Procyonid now at minimum needs to be present in the facemask and tail, not all points. Tail marking requirements loosened. 
• Labyrinth has had a minor textual update to clarify some additional sources of inspiration that work for the gene such as circuitboards, specific ball python morphs with thin markings, and literal mazes | Flourish has had a minor textual update to clarify that simply using a gradient is allowed.
• COMING SOON: Cloak and Daggerstabbed (a combination that alters the range of the two, I have a starter/NPC planned that utilizes it); easy removal of Ghost (item art in the works); hair metal design pack for manticores with some jellicle inspo; more dom common ranges (i only had Unders on hand to copy easily)

• While trying to test things on the lorekeeper to sort out bugs, we found that like all the installed core addons were off.
• they're on now.

Hey, I'm really sorry, and I hope to keep this one brief, but I shouldn't drag this on any longer without explaining.

Currently I am pretty much the only active admin - we have 2 trainee admins and a couple of friends have volunteered really helpful tips with code, but the other folks helping are very much a "when someone is available to pitch in" and that is FULLY OKAY and I want yall to have your own time this is not about that oh my goodness. The only issue is when something comes up long-term, I kind of have to figure out how long-term that is.

I am really not safe IRL and there's no way to put that in a way that doesn't sound alarming. I prefer to keep Chasmhome and my personal life separate enough but I have a bluesky thread up explaining. It contains heavy personal topics and I'm going to advise you not click it if you can't handle anything that could fall under recent current events stressors.

The main thing that is relevant to Chasmhome is this:

Things that will be active but slower:

• Seasons cycling
• Rolls
• HOPEFULLY, Updates to general content on the site, such as bug fixes and improvements.
• Similar RNG features and common updates like the above. May be slowed due to IRL commitments.

Things that have to be put on the backburner:

• Launch of upcoming event
• Release of starters/some item art (item art is considered heavily slowed)
• Similar more intensive creative-heavy releases like the above.

The event is significantly important to me so if given the chance I am simply going to be prewriting more of it and perhaps doing the art while waiting for things to calm down enough to prepare properly? I feel that I might as well if I wind up with the time? I'm sincerely very disappointed with these first two months because the event was on track to be fine until everything that could go wrong did all at once. I'm very sorry and I want to get back to things as soon as possible, I was really enjoying picking up the pace on rolls and still am enjoying getting back to what I can do in the meantime!

I apologize for this being alarming, I wanted to be as honest as possible about things being slowed by IRL because it's been a couple of months and even if it lets up now I need time to catch up. Situation sucks. I just want to admin my game with my friends.

BUG FIX

• TEMPORARY STATS SHOULD BE BACK. If your Ixi should have had temporary stats, please feel free to file a bug report and I'll re-add them. Any item grants that were up in the air due to this bug will be fixed very soon, and any recent item grants that should have had temporary stats applied but glitched should also be repaired around that time.
