Orignally a combat android from a distant star, Epitaph tried to leave the battlefield behind-- until he fell victim to a virus that nearly consumed his soul. 

Shiranui was the one who found him and, with a little help, ported what could be recovered of his consciousness and programming to an Aexent core. He's actually pretty pleased with his new form, all told. 

While his forceful personality and impulsive tendencies make him come off as a bit brash, he's actually a deeply strategic thinker and an excellent leader who knows how to bring out the best in people. He is, however, quite proud and has a tendency to make decisions on the fly-- ones that often put him in the thick of things if it means he can avoid endangering others. (Even if those others can totally handle it and Very much want to help.)

Was part of the team that recovered Cross and the two have grown extremely close since. They trust each other without reservation and regard each other as partners-- in multiple senses of the term. 

If not hanging around Shiranui's lab or with Cross, Epitaph can often be found lending a hand with counter-contraband activities or hunting creatures that are a danger to others.
