Chasing circles, endless loops, the way Hati and Skoll chase the sun and moon. He thinks of the one he once called friend. Once thought to utter the words 'I love you' to. He thinks of the spirited one who keeps pushing her way past his thorns--not with a wild disregard for his own safety, no she is careful about her pushing--to try to drag him out of his prison. He grits his teeth to force his expression into a careful neutral that he hopes is convincing. "Maybe I see someone, maybe I don't. Does it really matter?" he forces a smile and turns his head away. "I like being on my own." He's always been a terrible liar.
