One of the few edible plants native to Sxriix rather than imported from other planets, this root vegetable is named both for its coloration - silvery bark covering an almost meaty, tender interior, reddish much like an oxidized metal - as well the protective bark that covers it. It has a very heavy flavor and makes a good soup broth when boiled long enough. Tastes like home.
